I bet it wouldn't work if you put the "texturepacks" folder, because I tested it for "MultiMC" in the "texture-packs" bar and it did not work. So I recommend putting the file in the "Minecraft" bar of "MultiMC": https://multimc.org/
Probably because it didn't have the "pack.mcmeta" file since I thought that it would not have any use of fixing things.
