Medusa - one of the most well-known symbols of Greek Mythology. You all know the ability she possesses so I'm not even going to write it down jsut to bore you and lure attention away from the actual skin up there. Funny fact is that when se was beheaded she still had that power I did not mention before and her cut off head was a weapon. That's cool I say. Then offerings to gods, messing around with the divines came and things, her head was fixed to a shield. The even funnier part was the death. Hero came, received mirror shield jsut like Link did. Knowing that Medusa was a mortal he distracted Medusa with the mirror. Mirrors draw women's attention he knew. Hero slew Medusa and brought to town. She was put up to execution and she was beheaded. (maybe she could have survived if dragons were in Greek Mythology :D) The thing is that Medusa was pregnant from Poseidon. God of sea and things :D Respected guy among sailors. So I don't really get the Greek Logic here (which could develop diplmacy and other graet things but still) From the dead body as unborn babies a pegasus and a giant came out. Seems legit to me right? Just to name the brave hero was called Perseus. Hero guy. First named hero in Greek Mythology.

Well that's enough history for a day.

Let me tell a few of my thoughs about the skin and contest.

After getting the idea of creating a Medusa skin I checked that were there any already made but I could only see low-quality cheapskins so I was sure I can make this skin. I procrastinated a lot before starting with the skin. Skyrim got my busy. I started to work on the skin several times but I got so off of skinning that I lost moral and things minutes after. Possibly friends encouraging and the deadline coming helped pretty much. Before starting came checking for reference pictures and chatting with fellow skinners. On most picturtes Medusa was a normal skin-colored woman but I did not like that concept. Luckily friends agreed with making the skin greeny-bluey-paley-snaky. I would like to give credit to Lycandar for assisting with the final touches on the skin color. He gave me a nice color scale. I did not use it to its full potential just selected a bit better coolor and applied it with Overlay. I also got encouragement from Sneeze7 about the kind of clothing I should create. I wanted to do a kind of princessy design
but several PMCers wanted me to do raggy. Sneeze was who aggreed with me I felt better that I got Pro and Famous
skinners as my tail-wind.
First I wanted to create an even more ornamental outfit but as I was working with the skin I realized I don't need it.
I stayed with tiara and bracelet and a necklace.
I created the hair totally on my own which I am kinda proud of :D It turned out nice and it looks like snakes I think.

All in all the skin took me two days to make. Yesterday night I created the head and today the body. It is a pretty
late upload for the contest again and people say late uploads miss the Top 100. But my Inanimate Contest Skin
was uploaded even later and still made in to the Top 100 and got an amazing place!

Actually, your mythology is a bit off. The purpose of the mirror was so that Perseus could see her without turning to stone. He then used his sword to cut off her head right then and there. There was no excecution and she was asleep when it happened. She never defended herself. She was also the only mortal of three Gorgons. The only "challenge" to Perseus's mission was not to wake the other two. He did not need to avoid Medusa.

Well thanks for the information here! :D I wrote that text myself, did not look up much for it except that wacky part of the execution :D I tried to keep it short and entertaining so it wouldn't be boring :D
