This is mostly for faction and towny servers, some apply to regular vanilla servers also. Sorry if there is more Do's than Don'ts......

*LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ME TO ADD PICTURES OF SOME IDEAS IF YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IM SAYING ABOUT IT!!!!
*Added a PVP section at bottom.

In this whats new i will be focussing on the PVP section:
1) Left and right click at the same time while pvping to take less damage as you fight someone.
2) Also, jump and attack at the same time it does more damage as you hit them coming down.
3) If you have to run away don't go backwards trying to hit the person, instead run and jump it is much faster.
4) If your server sells cobwebs place them behind you so the person chasing you gets stuck, this will give you time to escape or time to wack the other person.
5) If you have knockback try to bump the person off a cliff or into lava, if people are in lava the travel slowly so you can also hit them too XD

DO NOTS

1) DON'T build your base near spawn, instead travel at least 1000 blocks away in both the x and z cords.
2) DON'T mock or instigate people so they don't have a reason to search for you.
3) DON'T rage if someone enemies you, that may start a chain reaction of people going to enemy your faction.
4) DON'T make just 1 layer of water because there are multiple ways to get through that.
5) DON'T tp people inside or near your base,,,EVER, this includes allies
6) DON'T make buildings in plain sight above ground, it tells others a base is near.

7) DON'T pvp log, it will most likely send the person about to kill you on a man hunt for the items he would have got if you died.
8)DON'T mess with known hackers,,,should be obvious..9) DON'T tell people your going to raid them, that gives them time to prepare
10) DON'T raid allies, no good will come of it, and you will get a bad name for being an ally.
11) DON'T tell anyone outside your own faction you will/did raid someone recently, you don't want vengeance knocking at your door.

12) DON'T forget to bring a decent amount of food.
13) DON'T come with stuff you wouldn't want to lose, like diamonds, emeralds, enchanted tools.
14) DON'T spam shoot tnt int a base after yoy blew a hole in to get inside, there may be chest behind that wall u made a hole in, and any extra tnt will blow up the items in those chests making the trip a waste of time and resources.15) DON'T ever show mercy, this includes never giving items back, never stop blowing up a base until it is unrecognizable anymore, and dont stop spawn killing them until an admin forces you to so the chat show your name continuously killing others
16) DON'T brag about donation stuff, just mention it like i said before. If you brag a lot about it people will hunt you down.
17) DON'T let anyone build a base near yours, including allies!
18) DON'T forget most servers have a command to tell the cords of another player./whois,,/getpos..etc.
19) DONT forget secret entrances do work pretty good most times, except if there are x-rayers on your server.
20) DON'T hurry through bases either because they may have secret spots for chests or entire storage rooms.
21) DON'T just run into a base, there will be traps at bases a good 50% of the time if the other faction is smart.
22) DON'T be annoying or obnoxious when skyping with people you are raiding or raiding with, it will get you a bad name.
23) DON'T forget some servers allow peaceful factions, some may or may not want to do this to prevent being raided, but also cant raid themselves.
24) DON'T use water for base surrounding all the time, instead try lava it is even extra protection.
25) DON'T join servers without mcmmo it is an awesome plugin and works wonders for PVP.
26) DON'T forget that mcmmo also has a /ptp command that allows people to instantly tp to people without permission( most servers disable this command)
27) DON'T ever claim as much land as you have power, instead claim about half the land as your power. This will make it so if you die people cant instantly be able to claim your base.
28) DON'T forget if you and your enemy are equally matched try to claim 1 chunk outside their base and lure them to fight you in that chunk, their damage will be reduced by 30% while yours will be raised by that much.
29) DON'T just start a war without consulting your faction(unless your leader)
30) DON'T go to war with your team if you all dont have the best gear you can possibly get.
31) DON'T even talk to talk to admins after a certain while of dominating a server, i have been banned from multiple servers for being such a beast at pvp and then getting into an argument with an admin, people were complaining to them about me pvping so they were searching for reasons to ban.
32) DON'T recruit new members after your faction is becoming the best, instead have a follower make a sub-faction to train/ weed out recruits. Reward the training faction often.
33) DON'T ally weaker factions after a certain point, it doesnt look good, plus it makes people feel like your above them if they keep asking to ally you.

34) DONT bring everything you own when joining a faction, almost half the time the person inviting you will try to kill you for some easy items.
35) DON'T invite a lot of people to your faction at a time, instead wait a few days to a week so you can tell who is and who isn't trustworthy.
36) DON'T forget to level up useful skills in mcmmo if your server has that plugin, they can be EXTREMELY useful!

PVP

1) Try to record fights if possible, lets you show admins hackers in the process.
2) Breed wolfs and take them to fights or raids people will get scared if they see a huge wolf pack lol.
3) LOOK AROUND OFTEN!!!! I do this like every 2 mins when i play, 90% of the time no one is around, but there;s still that small chance of somebody trying to hunt you.
4) When you are stalking someone ALWAYS hold shift down so they don't see your name. The other day i was stalking someone for like 15 mins like that i came up behind him when he was mining,, he found diamonds and i killed him haha he raged hard =P
5) Make traps around your base or where you know people will fall for it, After a while most people won't mess with your base because of this.
