My Story

All right, first of all, I realize this is overdone. I think. This may turn out long, but I gotta get this off my chest.
Anyway, I'm sick and have nothing else to do, so I'm going to write about something that happened to me a little while ago.
I applied for staff and got accepted. Seems normal, right? I applied on the server, I'm chatting with the co-owner (who actually was very nice). Suddenly, I see Junior Admin beside my name. I became happy, started to help out.
Later, some kid got on who griefed up spawn when he got Mod. I rebuilt. He got banned. But then, someone w/e'd a circle into spawn. It was obvious that it didn't look right. I typed in //undo just in case I did something on accident, because there was only my friend on (who was a senior admin), co-owner, and owner. The owners thought I had done that, since they had seen me do the command from console (they had seen it on console, I didn't have access to console). They temp-banned me for 15 minutes, to figure it out. I understand why they did that, but they didn't seem to notice that when I did //undo it did nothing. I wasn't mad when I got back on. Then I applied to Builder (because I think I'm a good builder, and co-owner (I'll call him Co from now on) said that I could be builder and admin.). I got Admin-Architect. Of course, I was pretty happy about that.
After getting permission from Co, I started building a jail for /jail, since I noticed that they didn't have one. I finished it, and logged off for the night.
I get on the next day, owner sets me Moderator. He had been doing tests the day before, so I didn't think much of it. After about 15 minutes, I asked someone to set me back to Admin, because that was my rank, or so I thought. I asked quite a few times, being ignored each time. Finally, Co told me I was demoted. I said "okay" and just continued doing what I was doing. I didn't mind it, since Mod was what I applied for. I added on to the jail. I felt like it.
I was acting the same, saying "hi" to new players and making small conversations. Someone said they'd get their brother on. Being the caring person I am, I had said, "that's great! is he applying for staff too?". I don't remember what he replied, but owner just says "who cares? Carly, stop just annoying everyone" (or the like). I just decided to ignore him, but afterward I noticed that the owner avoided to talking to me, and whenever he did he was really bitter.
We were also talking about something else (I forget what now, but it had to do with me being Mod, and that I respect his decision, don't quite remember. Some other guy, who had joined the server that day started spamming "DENIAL" and "SHES DENYING". After a little while, after him spamming that after every thing I said, I asked him to stop. He just said "No", and continued. I asked him to stop a little while later, he said "okay", followed by "NOT!" I /ignored him, but then owner made me un-ignore him. He was doing NOTHING about him spamming at me. I was really pissed off at this point. He then banned me, but I was unbanned shortly after.
I was trying to build something, but then the others were always breaking blocks I had placed. I was getting even more annoyed. When I told them to stop for about the fifth time, the did. When the owner started doing it, I told him to stop too. He just said "Don't tell me what to do", and kicked me. After that, I did /tptoggle, just to stop them tping to me, they were getting in my way. Owner toggled tp for me again, and I said "Don't, please. I don't want people tping to me and he said "Stop telling me what to do" and temp banned me for 1 min. Then I got back on, turned off chat and just continued building. Only the owner was tping to me at this point. I turned chat back on again, and said "Stop teleporting to me, please". He replies: "There you go again telling me what to do". Guess what? Temp banned for 5 minutes. After I got back on, I gave them a mini lecture. Here's what I said: "You know what? I'll resign. I don't feel respected as an individual and only Co and [insert other guy here] were nice to me. I don't want to be staff on a server where I am not being treated as I treat others". I was about to say "Good luck with the server, goodbye" but I was banned for the reason "F*** off, b****". Guess they didn't deserve luck. Anyway, here's some things to do with abusive owners.



What To Do When You Can't Get Past An Abusive Owner.

STEP ONE: Ignore them. Continue to step two if it's getting bad.
STEP TWO: Tell them to stop whatever they're doing.
They should, unless something like what happened to me happens. ("STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!!! ASDFKJ FUHC*#(CN(*CC*)RHB)" etc.)
STEP THREE: Leave. If you're not going to be respected for who you are, they shouldn't deserve you. If you weren't being mean to them in any way, know that you're better and that server where eveyone is mean won't be very successful. You're too good for abuse. Nobody deserves to be abused. Resign as staff, leave. That's it.
STEP FOUR: Like I said, know that resigning was the good thing to do.
That's pretty much it. At my school, they say use WITS, walk away, ignore, talk it out, seek help. If you are young and they're abusing you, legit bullying, tell a parent. If they're asking for your address, real name, age, other personal information, tell them you do not give such info away to strangers. If they don't respect that, LEAVE RIGHT AWAY. Delete the server from your server list, never go back there.
Use something like WITS, but a little differently. More like ITSW, if that makes sense. Ignore, talk it out, seek help, walk away. Or... IT'S MY LIFE.

Forget
Erase server from server list and memory.



NOTE: If the abuse isn't that bad, but continues, you are allowed to use that ^^

Other Types Of Owners

Hypocritical owners are sometimes the worst. To those who don't know, someone hypocritical means they tell you to not do something, but later they do it themselves. I don't remember exactly what happened, but this has happened to me. For example, they could tell you to not jail players, just kick and tempban, but later you see them jailing players.
How to deal:
Step 1. Ignore it. If they don't do it anymore, it passed. Not a big deal. But if they continue, go to Step 2.
Step 2. Don't do it, just tell them they're being a little hypocritical by
telling you to not do it, then doing it themselves. If they get mad,
they're turning into abusive owner. Go to above section... But if they're a little bit mad, then they don't do it again, just let it pass. If they continue nonetheless, go to Step 3.
Step 3. Ask them if you are allowed to do it now, since they are. If they say no, just go along with it. Respect their decision. If they say you're allowed, then yay! But if they do say no, go ahead and rant about it to them if you like xD.
