ok and on the other side of that. what is wrong with older people playng this game? i mean the 2 people most of the younger kids admire with epic builds and amaizing video seriese are older then me. im 20 ther is the yogscast. they are over 25. the deadworkersparty. they are all over 30. younger players should stop thier complaining about older players. whos do you think runs most of the servers. the older players with jobs to pay for them. who created this game? people over the age of 20. all you yung players should be thankfull and really stop hateing on the older players aswell. just sayin. 

ALONG with this im not saying at all whatsoever that there are not yunger more talented players. i have a few plyaers yunger then me on my build team that are awesome. and very mature.

all i hate is immature players (or kids from 8 to 11 years old)... I never ever complain about olders. They are awesome at grammatic, and they know how to play. Also older players are smart enough to build very awesome redstone mechanisms! 
But anyways... I think this game for their ages are a little too childish. Unless it's like a business, like yogscast.

At least it's not as bad as in ARMA 2... whenever a kid comes on a domination server he just runs to a helicopter, crashes it, and wrecks the whole base.


Some kids are mature and some are really immature.  It goes by with age, we all realise it when we get older.  Still, you have to give them at least one chance.

I'm young and I respect everyone - I don't really see what's wrong about a 4-year-old being really good at Minecraft, or any other game.

Why Do People Even Care About Age At All Its Like Going Up To Someone And Asking "Hay What Race Are You?" It's Just One Of Those Things That Are Highly Unneeded. (Even Though Most Of The Time You Can Just Look At Them And Tell)... Is this comment aimed at ALL kids? Because I'm 12 and yet I play on a server where everyone is talking about how they forgot what a micrometer screw gauge is in an exam. And they haven't even realized how old I am because apparently younger kids are setting a stereotype which everyone associates with us. In my opinion the kids who spend hours playing Call of Duty and other games make the game unbearable because they take it too seriously. And also kids who ask too many questions and beg for items. But adults do it too, as well as the things you mentioned. So don't bite our heads off because of a few people who are like this. A vast majority of kids are no different to adults about this sort of thing. I'm sure you can remember thinking like that once.

If new players didnt started to play, Minecraft would have been 1/8 that popular that it is now. And your are discrimination the younger. I can't do anything with my age! I am 12 year and a Norwegian. I have never discrinated your.

That was the whole point of this blog, I for one am 14, and most people would look at that age and say i'm immature or a "n00b" as you say. And for the most part, older people aren't even discriminated in minecraft. I've been involved with servers that have alot of people age 20+ but they never got any grief about it. Besides, what would older people get disciminated about? Younger people don't have an argument like the older members of the community do. You could easily say," Your too young to understand or don't have enough wisdom." but when in reality, other than for some of us, the only extra wisdom you have when i comes to minecraft is paying the bills for a server. And yeah there are some immature kids playing minecraft but just ignore them, they aren't that common on good servers.

i like older players more than yonger players because they can stfu and arent annoying plus ive never been griefed by a 18+ person for what i kno ive been gaming since i was 5 and i was always nice and never talked but now these kids are all "STFU U F@&&0T!!!!! *puts on thick-framed glasses* It was the hipstery in-their-twenties crowd who started playing Minecraft in the first place and gave it the audience it needed to take off. The kinda people who grew up on Lego and Super Nintendo, which Minecraft is sort of a combo of.

 The younger kids only found out about it after it went a little more mainstream.

At the image; Hah! You young whippersnappers, I've been here since Indev! That means all of the monsters made human sounds, you could get a floating islands, regular, or flat world, there were only chickens, pigs, and the 4 overworld monsters, no doors, no redstone, no minecarts, no dispensers, worlds where quite small with classic-style borders. Yes-siree, those where the days.

Please learn how to spell properly. Especially if you are writing a public blog entry.

I personally would not refer to minecrafters above the age of 25 or 30 as "old". I would rather call the ones below the age of 15 "young" players. It seems to me that the older players are commonly more patient with their work/projects and are aiming for a higher level of quality. My personal experience with older players is also better concerning respect and manners. This of course is just a general experience that i made and single individuals' behaviour may differ from that.
Nevertheless there is no reason in saying anything against "older" minecraft players in general because without them Minecraft would not be possible or far less enjoyable.
