To begin, I would like to say that applying for a Moderator Position in a Server is something that a lot of people consider very important. Many use a lot of their time into creating a great application, and you need to recognize that. Before you apply, think to yourself, am I really wanting to apply for a Moderator position. Do I deserve to be a Moderator? If you think to yourself, no, do not apply. Your cheating others of that very opportunity your being given. Now, a Moderator is a prestigous position in a Staff team, and Servers these days want very reliable members who will be able to protect their community to the best of their abilities. You have got to be ready. Now down to the actual application!

Before you begin to apply for a Server, you should consider your previous experiences on other Servers. If you have experience, know your way through a great list of plugins and consider yourself a generally good person, you should be able to get the current staff to pull your way. It's as easy as that. But, if you don't have experience, you really want to sound like you do. You need to make up for that with other ways, such as good grammar, detailed explanations of everything you can do for the Server, etc. Experience is not always going to get you across the line, but it is always something that many Servers look for, especially the successful Servers with great reputations. It means they have the up on their competion. Remember, this is a money involved business, and if your driving away the costumers, you are not going to be on the staff for very long.

Good writing skills can be the difference between being accepted or declined. They can make you sound smarter, more professional and someone who can work through difficult situations. That makes you an ideal applicant. You want to use correct pronunciation, and try to use the style of writing the Server's home country uses. I won't go to far into this topic, because I have blogs officially dedicated to the basics of blogging and spelling. Blogging: The Do's And The Don'ts Giving Advice Here In The Blog Section

Every single Server has a large Plugin list, or at least 99.99% of Servers. Plugins make the experience on a Server enhanced from the basics, and give you a more memorable experience. Otherwise, Servers would just be a lot of builds with no simple order and justice. Simply gain a knowledge of the Server your applying for's Plugins. You can achieve this by asking Moderators, by looking around the /help menu or just doing the /plugins command. That final example generally doesn't work, but some Servers have turned their permissions to allow that. If you can then research every single Plugin deeply, Admins will be able to trust in your abilities to use them correctly. This is something you want to be having and it should give you some extra brownie points!

Different Servers have different areas for you to apply at. Some at Forums which have a lot of customization tools. Here at Planet Minecraft, we can add pictures, font colours, spoiler texts, different text types and the basics like bold, italics and underline. Hopefully, your Servers Forums will have options as such and give you a good amount of freedom with the look of your application. You do not, I repeat, DO NOT want to make your application look like a basic piece of material, nothing added in to make it shine. I personally like to look at bloggers like OliverFrenchie and ZaphodX and see how they present their posts. In this post alone, I have put the most effort into making it look unique and pretty damn special. You should take inspiration from more experienced bloggers and posters, and use their ideas and incorporate them into your posts. Did I say steal their ideas? No! I mean by taking inspiration, you can use that in your own posts. Do not steal others material, it means you don't aspire to be a Staff member so much that you would write/type something out yourself. In a way, it's kind of sad. But for all those good, honest souls, good on ya! You should be congratulated for your effort, and I would like to give you a clap!
