Area Azazel
DISCLAIMER *READ*
Read the horror story at your own risk. You could result from nightmares or terrible imaginations of the scenes described here. I will not claim responsibility of anyone traumatized from this.

This story is completely fictional, no such place exists nor does the Azazel entity.

Jukebox Music

Silent and tranquil revving from the car engine masked the aura of isolation that emanated from the town. The landlord confided its simple name, “Zeal AZ” where the abbreviation stood for “Alluring Zillions.” That poorly-made slogan was what I constantly wondered about during the drive to what seemed like a lifeless neighbourhood. From afar, I could see the coupled houses and facilities in the centre, and no moving figures in sight. The surrounding lush threatened to swallow up the town whole, as if stomping it out of existence. This ghost town wasn't destined for emptiness... It needed people like me.

I stepped into the hallway of my new spacious home, pre-furnished and pristine as the contract promotion promised. The décor style around the house appeared Victorian – archways and doors designed intricately on both floors; carpets and curtains neatly aligned and exactly at a shorter scale of each room; beige wallpaper conjuring faint french-curved patterns and sturdy oak-wooden furniture that levelled the rooms with aesthetic purpose. Existing in a different era than this, I was tempted to change everything for something simpler, yet I imagined the landlord wouldn't be very happy to see it.

Evening approached and I experienced a strange chill as the sun set. The house began emitting a slight moan, possibly from the wind outside. Curtains moved in tune with the howl. A lamp in one of the lower rooms began flickering. From that familiar feeling I concluded this house was “haunted”.

What seemed like an anti-climatic feeling about leaving the area suddenly ended when I stumbled upon a large wardrobe facing my bed. Unlike the rest of the spirits, this one was soothing. I could not feel fear when close to it, but only calm and enlightenment. As I moved toward it, the roar of the house grew louder, yet I did not flinch. Just a sheer glance at the two magnificently glowing doors made me forget every horrible entity that existed in this house. It never occurred to me that perhaps the house violently alarmed me to avoid opening this wardrobe.

I could not bear to look away anymore. The doors slowly pulled me towards them, looking as much beautiful as a young fair woman glancing back. My adoration for it was ecstatic, amidst the satanic house that struggled to pull me back into reality. I cried tears of joy and euphoria as I laid my palms into the smooth knobs that warmed up in greeting. With much force and determination, I opened up the heavenly wardrobe.

That was the greatest mistake of my whole life.

Before my sore eyes laid the angel. Her face was grotesque, continuously bleeding from her sockets and skin stretched out as if inside a new realm. My ears burst from her horrible shriek that must have shaken an entire planet. The black void of a mouth violently opened up to suck me in. I could only hold on to one of the smooth knobs that gradually roughened and grew spikes. It was difficult to look away from those black staring eyes that shot pain through my head.

Through the entrance, all the furniture rushed in, attempting to crush me or cause me to let go. Among them, a small butter knife appeared.
Yelling out, 'I cannot take it anymore,' I grasped the knife and thrust it into my own heart...

This was the same story among all the haunting ghosts in that cursed neighbourhood, for they couldn't stop humans from entering Azazel, the fallen angel summoned by the greedy landlord. Humans wouldn't know the truth... until they perish by her.

Hope you enjoyed this story! This is made for planetblox2000's League of Story Telling Tournament. This story is exactly 600 words as requested (thank goodness). I don't know what came over me when I searched for this kind of jukebox music. For once I was glad I remembered some creepy song by Tool in Guitar Hero...

My word, how sharp was that butter knife? They can't normally stab people! (*Disclaimer* I have not attempted to stab anyone wth a butter knife)

Well with enough force and considering that its the same thickness as a regular knife but unbevelled, it is possible to stab people with a butter knife, if it isn't enough to cut them at least. There's been several domestic reports of stabbing murders with butter knives.

It's also kind of a technique in my part that the man was so desperate to end the encounter with Azazel that he made a great effort to kill himself (apparently.)
