The 3rd instalment of the Captain America franchise is here, and its the best one yet!

This movie had a lot to do and a lot to live up to, such as:
  • 1 up and tie up the lose ends of it's awesome prequel, "The Winter Soldier"
  • Serve justice to the brilliant, inspiring graphic novel, "Civil War"
  • Rightfully bring Spider-Man and other highly anticipated characters into the MCU.

It did all these things and more.

One thing I must note is that you should not go into this movie expecting the comics. While it did adapt some key points, the two really aren't that similar.

But anyway, this film is AMAZING, and definitely one of my favourites from Marvel, heck, maybe even one of my favourite superhero movies in general.

It has those fast paced, hand to hand, up close and personal (and almost dark and gritty at times) fights of course resembling those of The Winter Soldier's, that the Russo brothers do fantastically, as well as those massive, sprawling epics that we've come to expect from the MCU.

Okay so here's the plot.

The government introduce a new set of laws, forcing the Avengers to basically work for them. Because of this, the avengers are split as to whether they should abide or not. Tony Stark A.K.A Iron Man (and a handful of allies) agrees, however, Steve Rogers A.K.A Captain America (once again, with a handful of allies) disagrees, therefore becoming a criminal.

Well, yes, there's more to it than that but those are the basics and I would probably be getting into spoiler territory if I advanced further.

The acting is on point, you can really feel for the characters. You actually feel sorry for them during some of the big twists.

Not only that but the characters' motivations are clearly defined (unlike it's rival, "Batman v Superman"), the best example of this being Black Panther.

And, now the character everyone has been waiting for...

Hawkeye!

No just kidding

Spider-Man

This is my favourite on screen spidey we've seen so far. Even though he doesn't have much screen time, he's one of my favourite characters in the movie. Trust me this is the Spider-Man we've been waiting for. After the dumb, silly dancing of Toby Maguire and the radical, coolness of Andrew Garfield, it feels like, finally, this is the right one. I'm hyped for Spider-Man: Homecoming, and you should be too.

As we come to our conclusion, yes, this movie was fantastic and quite possibly the best production from Marvel yet.

I may not be the best at making blogs, but feedback is always appreciated. Sorry if the review was a little short, I may extend it a little longer in the near future. Oh, and maybe even if you enjoyed this, let me know if you would like to see a suicide squad review in the future :)

No.... I still have to wait another week for it to come out in the US. Funny how a Captain America movie gets released in America last.
