Why hello there! I see you are here for Doggle's Daily MythConceptions (Sorry, but Mythconceptions is from a Doctor Karl book title, no copyrght infringement intended). Now, I shall be talking to you about our misconceptions and these myths which are brought up, everything from creepypastas, to games, to basically anything you want me to prove to other people, so please, if you would like me to add a mythconception of yours here, pm me.
What is a MythConception?
A MythConception, basically is an idea which a person, a group or a community have gathered which is totally incorrect, for example Slenderman is the scariest game. Let us face it... IT ISN'T.
So, basically, a MythConception is basically Myth (A fake idea) combined with Misconception (An incorrect idea in your head).
MythConceptions
First of all, I am going to start off with the MythConception which annoys me a LOT. It frustrates me every time I see it, I have heard it over and over again, these words are 'Slenderman is the Scariest game ever'. Let us face it, I doubt many of you who have played Slender have played games like SCP (Secure, Contain, Protect) or Amnesia, these are just two game series which are a whole load more creepier than Slenderman. Slenderman you are just taking a nice stroll out at night in a dark forest like this:
Just another night out with your friend Slenderman. The only (dare I say it) 'Scary' thing about Slenderman is when you he him and there is a loud noise, and then there is just noises and he just pops up. The worst thing to happen is you turn around and see him, just oh, hey slender. You just keep moving on.
But, the indie series 'SCP' (Secure, Contain, Protect) is a lot more scary. I recently saw SCP: Containment Breach, and decided to play it (its entirely free). So, I go along, and I am invited into a holding cell, which contains 'SCP-173'. Whom, cannot move whilst you are looking at him, but if you cannot see him he can move, of course something goes wrong! The doors won't shut and then the lights flicker out. He appears at the two other officers and snaps there necks in the dark and then the guard up top. It is up to you to escape whilst he tries to kill you, along the way there is many other deadly SCP creatures and objects which will probably kill you, take you somewhere or do something worse. This is something you expect to see a lot:

Plus, you have to blink, so every few seconds (about 5-7) you have to blink, so then your screen goes dark for a second. Now you are vulnerable to SCP-173 killing you. It also has more atmosphere being dark, deserted (Yes slenderman is deserted but it is the sort of place that IS deserted, not like an empty building (try going to your school or work at night time, it is quite eerie)).
This next MythConception is mainly aimed at male pre-teens and that, someone around the ages of 11-14. This is the time where excuse this, you hit puberty and you become and adult, let's face it. This will happen at some stage of our human lives. Now here we become attracted to the opposite sex. Now, basically what I have noticed, is that guys around this age have a slight tendancy to think all girls who play Minecraft (or any game for that matter) are 'hot' or good looking. I once did an undercover test to see whether this was true. I went onto a server and at least 4 guys were wanting to help me and 'date' me as I pretended to be a girl. I have at least 4-6 friends that are girls and play minecraft who have all experienced this before, it isn't true. The person behind the screen could be a guy, you think they are all 'hot' but in fact they could be bald and have piercings through there mouth and that, I am sure a lot of children ages 11-14 wouldn't like that. So basically yeah, that is basically it for guys liking all girls and thinking they are all hot on the other end.
This next one shall be the third and final MythConception to start with. Game developing is easy. This one isn't as well known as others but there are a lot of people (even I thought this at one stage) who think that games just come together easily. If you think or thought this, it is wrong. You have to learn a computing language, probably several in fact. I am sure most of you know words like bonjour or ciao or some other words in another language. Learning to make a game is the same, except you have to learn an entirely new language (sometimes two or three just for one game you are working on, even though you already know say five). You have to constantly learn, as software becomes higher quality you have to learn more languages and that. Coding a game is the easiest bit. Then you have to design the characters the way you want, now these have to be pretty good to get something from the game. After that you are going to need to test it and all. It takes a while and is hard, it isn't something you can whip up in five minutes, you can't just go like this:
It should be more like:
Put them in spoilers to save room.
I hope you are enjoying my MythConceptions, more shall come out regulary, so check back often and enjoy!
