On March 15, 2017 Dropbox ended the support of the public folder.

For those who had the public folder it's still available but no longer works as before,
now the public folder will behave like any other folder and the option 'Copy public link' is not longer available.

Note that all the links generated using 'Copy public link' will not work anymore. (Atleast not for me).

What has this to do with Minecraft?

Many people used the Public folder to upload their modpack and get the public link for technic.
Since these links don't work anymore, there still is a way to make links like the 'Public folder'.

What do you need to do to fix the broken links?

You have to do a few easy steps, i'll try to explain it as good as I can.
1. Upload the file to dropbox
2. Click 'Share'
3. A windows should pop-up now click 'Create a link'
4. Copy the link by clicking on 'Copy link'
5. Paste the link somewhere where you can edit the link
6. The link should end with ?dl=0 you have to change the 0 to 1 so it looks like: ?dl=1

Explanation:

The public folder 'Copy public link' option made a direct link.
The 'share' option created a link wich isn't direct.
The dl in the link meens direct link and this can have 2 values:
0(False) and 1 (True) so by changing this value you can make it a direct link.

The edited link can now be used to replace the broken link wich was created using 'Copy public link' in the public folder.
