Enchanting...In ENGLISH [NOT A MOD][SIMPLE]

Do you hate that stupid language that Notch and his crew put the enchanting table in?

Do you hate downloading mods, and just want it in english?

Well this is the right post for you!!!

Steps to make that enchantment table of yours into english!

NO MODS OR DOWNLOADS NEEDED ITS VERY SIMPLE (Unless you do not have an archive software.  Then you need to download Winrar or something like it)

WARNING:  This is mainly based for Windows computers, but can also be followed by mac and other computer users. 

THIS MAINLY WORKS WITH DEFAULT TEXTURE PACK AND NOT WITH OTHERS.  SOME DO THOUGH.

1. Click start and type in %appdata%

2. Go into your "Roaming" folder

3. Go into your ".minecraft" folder

4. Go into your "bin" folder

5.  Right click the java "minecraft" file and open with your archiver (Winrar)

6.  Near the top, you should see a "font" folder, so open it

7. Once in the font folder, delete the "alternate.png" image

8. Then, click on the "default.png" image and copy it (CTRL C)

9. After you copy it, change the original "default.png" image's name to "alternate.png"

10. Once finished, paste the image you copied into the folder and you are finished.

In the end, you should have both "Default.png" and "Alternate.png" in the folder, but they should be the exact same thing with different names.

11. Exit out of everything and start up minecraft.  Congratz! You may now enchant in english.

NOTE:  If your minecraft crashes, it means that you have an interfering texture pack or you did something wrong.  Follow these steps exactly and it will be in english.

If it does crash, when you open minecraft, go into options, and then hit Force Update.  Then log in and your minecraft will be 100% back to normal and you can try again :D

 

Although it is in english, it says some really weird things but you can relate that to the main types.

You can Do this in Texture packs :)

Your just changing the Texture of the Default Minecraft Texture build into the bin
Much Safer to mod it into a Texturepack and run it

Ok, this works... but not the way I want it to. I did this according to your directions and another person's, but when I go to enchant stuff, it says really stupid stuff like, "enchant swift darkness scrolls" or, "demon stick roll blade". Really weird stuff really. I'm pretty sure this has to do with enchantments, but once you decipher it your way, you also have to decipher that weird wording in English. This left me thoroughly confused.

That's because the words are random, and tell you nothing about what enchantment you're going to receive. This submission merely changes the texture pack.

If you want enchanting to be more balanced, strategic, functional and rewarding especially at higher levels, I've spent over a month, making one:

Superior Enchanting (Mod)
(SMP compatible)

It is fully compatible with any texture pack (including this one),
 and any mod, that doesn't change alter the GuiEnchantment class.

I know you posted this a long time ago, i havent been active.  If you havent figured it out, reset your .bin by opening minecraft, go into options, and hit force update. Then login and your all good

PLEASE HELP --- I did everyhting you said I deleted the alternate copied the default but when I try to rename it to alternate.png it says I can't do that and it wont let me and my minecraft crashes when I try to get on because I dont have the alternate folder what do i do?

How do you get your echantment table  to make the level of whatever your echanting higher?Because,I killed the ender dragon and now i'm level 114 but whenever i enchant , there's only levels 1-5 ...does anyone know why it does this?

Im guessing you have the answer to this since this post was 12 days ago but its because you don't have bookshelfs around it. you need to put them around it like in the picture. the more there is, there higher the level which i think the max level is 51.
