This is a fictional story of Steve, based of actual occurances, except for the ending. All characters mentioned are real people or exist in the game Minecraft. Enjoy your read :) (Sorry about the weird layout. I wrote it on word and this is how it pasted over. Sorry!)



































Prologue:


On a cold night in the taiga biome, Steve was roasting next to a fire. He has everything he needed, except for something he desired more than anything else…the Infinity Key. The keys existence is a rumor and nobody knows for sure if it exists. It is said that it can reset life itself and destroy all darkness. Now...amongst all chaos on earth, between good and bad, Steve had ranked himself all the way to the top of the food chain and there wasn’t one being on the planet that didn’t fear him. The Darkness had lost their leader, but that didn’t stop the attacks. Not one sheep could live next to a village, without the fear of an attack. The Darkness had become smarter. Their movement was more advanced and old techniques didn’t work anymore. Their front-line soldiers had more advanced vision and strength. Darkness was evolving.


Life was fading ever more slowly. They had also evolved to have merchants amongst themselves, strong fighters, said to be made of iron, and settlements with arranged housing for merchants and others. These settlements were brightly lit, which caused them to be a big target for The Darkness. Life was fading, and their leader, Steve, needed to go something about it.


Three whole years had passed since the gods had created Steve. He possessed immense power, capable of defeating The Darkness once and for all, but he didn’t know how. His brain was good enough to craft pistons and state of the art tools, but that didn’t help him. In battle, the so called “invincible” armor he had crafted, didn’t seem to be good enough. Life was fading, and he couldn’t do anything about it. He needed that key.





Part 1:


Intel from the merchants had told Steve there was another force in power, but it wasn’t a dragon or anything similar to The Darkness. It was a Biped, like Steve. From then on, Steve was on high alert. He told his Sheep to never sleep and breed as often as possible to keep Life going. Life, as it was, would never be the same. Ever.


The Gods noticed this change in balance. Life would loose in the next battle. Steve would meet his end. The Gods went to work again, meddling with Steve’s Agricultural Intelligence and gave him the power of the gods, but… To possess this power, Steve needed to be one with a God. They developed the Ultra Intelligence powered by a being from another Galaxy. The Human became one with Steve and Steve became one with The Human. The Ultra Intelligence system granted Steve immense power, stronger than that of The Gods. The Humans were more powerful than suspected by The Gods. They soon came to realize that with this extra power, they could defeat The Darkness, but they needed more of it. They made a system within the Ancient language, JAVA. Minecraft was born.





Part 2:


Minecraft worked perfectly for the Humans, but the power was limited to Steve’s knowledge of the world. Life was growing again and The Darkness had returned. The mythical Biped had resurrected the Dragon and made him his minion. Steve had yet to learn about lots through the humans. Their bond had become much stronger, but limited to one controller. He decided to set up a cloning facility, for thousands of users to control his clones and send the data to his mind. Steve connected to the Human world through illegal ways and contacted a Master of the Ancient language, iChun. Both Steve and iChun were smart in all ways, but iChun knew the Ancient Language. Steve asked him of one favor, “Allow me to clone myself, please!”. The Master of the Ancient Language understood the situation and agreed. The mod Sync was created. The Gods saw this change and developed a new system called the Great Ultimate Intelligence, which allowed the masses of Humans to control a version of Steve and transmit the data back to Steve himself. The Hunt for Herobrine had begun.





Part 3:


The First sighting of the Mythical Biped named “Herobrine” was by an unknown Human, to whom Steve lost contact 5 seconds after the sighting. The footage sent to Steve, showed the Biped with the same cloths as Steve, but with whited eyes. He relayed the footage to The Gods, which confirmed, the client was not at flaw. Steve had gained an Arch Enemy and he needed to stop him.


In the mean time, iChun had decided to give Steve and his clones a bit of Fashion in their lives, so he made the Hats mod.


Steve had come to a conclusion. Weapons needed to be made. He sent a message to all Humans operating the Great Ultimate Intelligence and gave a few select ones some knowledge of the Ancient Language. Steve and iChun had started a generation of creators. The Gods, left their world in the hands of the Humans. The Great Modding Age had begun.





Part 4:


Steve was receiving more and more footage of Herobrine. All Humans who had encountered him, had lost connection to the main server. Herobrine had become more and more violent. The Gods found traces of Herobrine in their system and immediately deleted them. Herobrine vanished. After Herobrine had vanished, the Humans started loosing interest in the system. JAVA speakers started writing Herobrine back into the system. The Darkness was stronger than before. Life was gaining power too though. Steve had received all kinds of upgrades from JAVA writers in the Human world. Many weapons had been uploaded onto the System, allowing the Humans to fight back. The great Flans mod was created, giving the Humans something to fight back with. The Great war had begun.





Part 5:


The war was long and bloody. Human soldiers marched together to Hell on the system added to Minecraft that connected the Humans together. Servers were now in use. An Authority, known as PMC, organized great battles and hunts. PMC fought for justice of Minecraft and the top of their bounty, was Herobrine. Thousand of people gathered and some created groups which supported Herobrine. These Terrorist Organizations were known as Griefers. They attacked the Community of Humans that joined the system to fight Herobrine, with similar methods to Outlaw himself. The community lived in fear of what might happen to Minecraft. The Community split in two and only small bonds were held. With this, a new forum of Authority arose out of Life. Moderators were born. The moderators had an insane level of strength and reinforced Steve’s system. The PMC community ran on fumes and didn’t have enough power to defend against Griefers. The Griefers sent men to manipulate the Community by planting Lies around the world. The Defence force known as the Moderators were created to stop these Griefers and protect the system. Legends such as LuisGoldacre, Zeranny, and Snowy kept harmony within the Community and decreased the Griefers numbers by 37%. Steve had finally received backup.





Part 6:


A religious war is called a Crusade. A Crusade is exactly what the Gods considered this war. Griefers worshipped Herobrine and considered him their God. Boy, were they so wrong. The Gods had granted Steve the power of the Gods, and now they were asking for a favor in return. They wanted Steve to wage war against Herobrine. And that’s how the Voxel Crusades began.


Steve ordered all Players to gather on one server, and told them to prepare for many losses. Many players joined the forces, and organization was needed. The Moderators helped Steve keep peace within the server and the Writers kept the server safe from any Griefers. The server was full within the hour and only the bravest soldiers were remaining. Writers such as the legendary X_pilot, gave the troops Food which could cure all damage (Taco reference :P), and WThieves gave them weapons with a WUB (Dubstep gun reference). With these tools, the soldiers marched to Hell, for one last time. The Crusades had truly began.





Part 7:


Steve had finally realized that he had the Infinity Key, ever since the Humans joined Life. The Key was nothing physical, it was a force within beings. It was the Human Will. Steve had something Herobrine could never have. Steve had obtained the Infinity Key.





Part 8:


All Soldiers arrived in Hell, armed with Guns, Swords, Axes and anything the Writers could offer them. A scream sounded as they reached a Fortress of Fire. The Darkness surrounded them, with flying species firing down on them. The Defenses of Life did not break. Steve and his men kept on pushing forward. Not one Human lost his clone that day. They slept in the rooms that had invaded, and had guards looking out.


Steve never slept. He simply couldn’t, because of the threat. It was inside of him. Slowly burning him from the inside out. He had to end this war soon, otherwise Herobrine would become too strong. The soldiers un-equipped their weapons, just incase of a traitor amongst them. The moderators went around checking each person’s belongings, just incase of any tracers or explosives.





Part 9:


When the Humans awoke, there was chaos around them. The Moderators and Steve were fighting off Dark Monsters, such as Ghasts, Blazes and Skeletons whom appeared to be coming from deep within the Fortress. All soldiers rushed to the weapons depot and grabbed a weapon. All Forces joined the battle and the Dark Monsters were defeated within a WUB (another dubstep gun reference). Steve had to assure that all troops got to the center of the Fortress safely and sent a group of PMC Moderators to the front line and some to the back to reassure the Troops. Up front with Steve, LuisGoldacre discussed Tactics with Zeranny and Snowy. They came to a conclusion and rearranged the soldiers to be in a circle of Moderators. Life reached the entrance to the main room, where the Juggernauts, Cyprezz and Paril, prepared for intense battle. The doors were opened and what they saw amazed all.





Part 10:


As the doors opened, the Juggernauts rushed in, blasting their Explosive guns around the room. Enemy forces within the room swarmed around, firing at Life. Steve, LuisGoldacre, Zeranny, Snowy and many other Moderators rushed in, leaving the air to the Soldiers. Particles flew everywhere and the bass wasn’t the only thing that was dropping. Humans lost many clones and the production of Clones had to be doubled, just to get more troops in. The Second Generation Soldiers flooded the room only 5 minutes after the First Generation started to fall. Fresh soldiers such as iLexiconn, MaxDaMiner, Chompho and sexy_katniss flooded the floor with the enemies blood. Respawning was not an option. From all the Soldiers, only iLexiconn, MaxDaminer, Chompho, sexy_katniss and Stellarscope survived with the Moderators from the Second Generation, but only one survived from the First Generation. He was LuxLacis and he was named “The Russian Legend”.





Part 11:


The Moderators were still fighting along side of Steve. They had reached the throne on which Herobrine sat, and the Archers were ready to fire. A Pulse of Darkness exploded out of Herobrines body and knocked, all that were too weak, unconscious. Steve was the only one still standing, and he had equal power to Herobrine. Steve had mastered all the spells from Minegika and was ready for battle. He surrounded Herobrine and himself with fire, so there was no escape. Steve was all kitted out and ready for battle. He charged at Herobrine with one mighty jump. His sword went straight through the body, but no blood dripped from the blade. Silence surrounded Steve, and a huge pulse of Darkness rushed into him. Darkness fell into his sight and all went black. (You have read 2000 words at this point! Impressive!)





Part 12:


Even though Steve had obtained the Infinity Key, it had done him no good. Everybody was unconscious on the floor, dead tired from the battle. The Darkness was beating Life. All was about to end.


It was only when Herobrine stood up from his chair and moved towards Steve to deliver the finishing blow and destroy the structure of Life, that one brave Human stepped up from all the bodies. It was The Russian Legend, LuxLacis. A few select others arose behind him including three Moderators. The rising soldiers stared Heorbrine into the eye. Then, LuxLacis shouted “FIGHT ME IRL BRO!”. MaxDaMiner, Chompho, LuisGoldacre, Zeranny, Stellarscope, sexy_katniss, and Snowy shouted out war cries as they charged towards Herobrine.





Part 13:


Artists came to heal the injured, clones under the command of DragonsDungeon. All master skinners were called upon to heal the injured and give them a fresh body. The cuts were tended for and the burns were soothed. The injured could not return to battle though. Their bodies were still weak and there was nothing the Skinners could do about it. Life was in the hands of those that arose.





Part 14:


LuxLacis and the others pounded Herobrine as the Skinners retrieved Steve’s weak body. Herobrine wouldn’t let the attackers hear him. Every attack bounced off his body not leaving a single scratch, but inflicting wounds on the attackers. Everything was hopeless for Life. The Darkness had been defeated except for a select few that were gravely injured on the ground. It was a battle of the finest. Survival of the fittest had begun.


The war against darkness was cutting deep into the souls of the last standing soldiers of Life. They needed backup from somebody of their power, or stronger. The Gods heard their cries.





Part 15:


As if summoned from heaven, iChun, WThieves, X_pilot and Mr_Crayfish fell from the sky. All equipped with their own weapons, iChun had a Portal Gun, WThieves held a Dubstep gun with Extra WUB, Mr_Crayfish held a chair and X_pilot held a Taco. X_pilot was eliminated immediately, because Herobrine held a grudge against Tacos. The three remaining coders were in shock. iChun picked up the taco out of X_pilot’s hand, stared Herobrine in the eye and took a bite out of the Taco. A surge of energy ran though iChun’s body. A pulsating sensation triggered a shot of adrenaline. He continued to stare at Herobrine, then made a move. IChun shot his Portal gun at the ceiling and looked at Mr_Crayfish to throw his chair at Herobrine. The next shot from the Portal gun, landed behind Herobrine, right before the chair knocked him into it. Herobrine started falling from the ceiling.





Part 16:


LuxLacis saw what iChun had set up and threw Snowy towards the falling Herobrine like a dart. Snowy understood the meaning of this and whipped out her Diamond sword. The world’s finest witches had enchanted the sword, with the will power of a Voxel. WThieves predicted the worst case scenario of Snowy missing Herobrine. She needed to hit him.


WThieves took aim with the Dubstep gun and fired with a WOB. The soundwave dropped right behind Snowy, giving her extra speed. The Diamond Sword Pierced through Herobrines body. The body fell, revealing a Clone, with a skin never seen before. Mr_Crayfish decoded the Clones skin and found that the Human didn’t exist. Herobrine was a lie.





Epilogue:


The war against Darkness was over. It became a legend to all that weren’t there. For those that survived to the end, it was real. Herobrine was still out there. They knew it. Steve wouldn’t rest until Herobrine had been taken down. Paril and Cyprezz closed off the case with Notch and Jeb, by calling Herobrine a “Hacker”. DragonsDungeon continued making skins and healing the injured along with other skinners. The Moderators, well…they never slept in fear of Herobrine returning. Griefers are no longer a problem in the system and the Gods put their work to play it’s role. When the new Humans join the system, the admins tell them this story. The Story of how willpower protected each other, and of a being named “Steve”.





Alternate Ending inspired by DragonsDungeon (Instead of part 12):


DragonsDungeon entered through the ceiling as a giant rock. He fell and squished everybody. There were no survivors. Herobrine died of a heart attack and accidentally deleted the system. The Gods got mad and rage quit, the Humans also rage quit, LoL was invented, the Gods got even angrier at the humans, Steve started playing Terraria in the Afterlife and X_pilot just sat there eating Tacos.
