So, not enough people get feedback. Why is that? To answer that question, first let's answer another question . . .

What is feedback?
Most people think of feedback as praise: " Wow, what a great job! "

But really, it's just a comment: " The [ insert lacking aspect of submission here ] needed some work. "
Not enough people look at the word "feedback" and think of posting any old comment. Lots of PMCers don't leave feedback because they think of praise when they see that word, and they feel the post doesn't deserve praise because it lacked in a single aspect. This is why many posts go without comments, and they shouldn't.

What are the effects of feedback?
Feedback usually positively effects a creator's skill. But in order for it to work well, there has to be two things:
A ) A creator willing to listen to feedback, positive AND negative
B ) A PMCer who knows the difference between feedback and insults/praise.
If you're missing A, this might happen:

B: You did a good job on this blog! However, I think that your spelling could use a bit of work.

Creator: well u r dum shutup troll jerk reprted

See what went badly there? The creator was unwilling to accept the feedback they needed. Therefore, they not only lost some subscribers due to looking unprofessional, they also did not improve on their blogging skills at all. But if you're missing B and have A, what happens then? One of two things:

Scenario A:
Insulter: ur dumb and this blog was dumb evry1 nos budder rants r overused u dumface
A: You hurt my feelings ;-;

Scenario B:
Praiser: Wow, this blog was very well-written and creative!
A: thx, every1 else was doin budder rants so i decided to do 1 2 bc id get dimonds

In both these scenarios, the creator was willing to accept feedback. But, it wasn't actual feedback. One was just an insult that didn't give any tips for the creator, and the other was just a compliment born out of too much sympathy. But what if we have both A and B?

B: I liked this blog, but maybe you might want to use a more original idea next time, because butter rants are done all the time.
A: Thanks, I'll keep that advice to heart!

This was an example of good feedback on both ends. However, this doesn't happen very often. Feedback like this example will always help the creator by giving them worthwhile advice and pointing out lacking aspects. But then we are faced with a simple question...

Why doesn't everyone give feedback?
Well, as I mentioned in part one, some people see feedback as praise and feel the creator does not deserve it. Some people think that they're too good to post feedback, and some people are just lazy. Others don't really give feedback, instead being the Insulter/Praiser in part two. However, sometimes people just don't like the post and feel the creator isn't worthy of feedback. These people can realize that feedback helps people, but do not realize that everyone can improve once a matter worth improving comes to their attention. They think that the creator is too lacking to improve at all, ever. Sometimes these people will become Insulters. Other times they'll just keep quiet. Either way, they never help the creator of the post.

Why do popular PMCers get more feedback than others?
Popular PMC users get more feedback because they get more attention from other users. They usually have posts that end up on the popular reel, so the users who see the posts feel obliged to give praise. This, while technically not being feedback, still counts as feedback in the eyes of the user posting the comment. Sometimes a popular reel post has some room for improvement, but the actual feedback comment is lost amid a sea of "Great jobs" and "+1 Diamonds". Even then, a creator will occasionally become the Unwilling Creator over time, and see the feedback as an insult as in part two. Sometimes their ego becomes bigger than their skill, and they begin to see more and more helpful feedback, always unwilling to take the advice. At that point, a great poster is degraded to a beginner again, having made room for praise by losing skill. This is why all creators should take feedback to heart.

So, in a phrase...
Give and accept feedback.
You may not always like it, but it's the truth that feedback always helps. You're never too good or bad to give or receive feedback, and if you're too lazy to type on a keyboard you should probably see a doctor or psychologist or personal trainer or something. Anyway, that was my latest blog. I know I haven't been making them in a while but I may start again. Anyway, hope you enjoyed. Feedback is much appreciated, as are diamonds and hearts. Subscribe if you wanna see more, and as always...
- Have a cool time! :b
