First Time Playing or Hearing About Minecraft

I Want To know about everyone's first time playing and discovering Minecraft. Tell me what you thought about the game, how you found out how to play, were you excited playing it or not. Things like that.
When I first played Minecraft I was taking turns playing with my friends. When they died the next person played. Back then Minecraft seemed like an impossible game, and stupid. That's because i only knew how to craft a crafting table and nothing else. I knew hoe to walk, build and kill things. But crafting any other block or item was a mystery for me so i didn't play for about a year. One day i saw my friends brother playing Minecraft and I thought to myself i want to play that game again. So when my friend brother got off i played. I was still confused and didn't know how to craft anything. So I took A good hour to figure anything out but i couldn't. So i ask my friends brother. He told me what to craft and how to play the game. At times i got confused. But by Time i had to go home i had liked that game a lot more than last time. The next day i Started looking on YouTube  for tips on how to play Minecraft. When i had watched so many lets plays about Minecraft i had understood how to play and the next times i went over to my friends house i had actually made progress on survival.
