So, we all have been griefed, haven't we? Well, I have made a blog about how much griefers suck and how we can get back at them. The griefer, "Minecrafticus Destroilus", is a low intelligence troll. The troll, "Internetus Bullikin", is a person that goes onto something that we call, the Internet, and tries to ruin it with its negative powers. Trolls feed on the reactions from helpless beings on the internet. They try to get you mad, frustrated, or sad, so they can feed off your emotions. A way to deal with a troll is to just ignore them. They will soon get bored and leave. Do not act hastily and ban them from a website or wherever you are, because they know you are weak. Griefers are the same thing as the trolls, but instead of spamming up sites, they go onto games and try to make it a living hell for us. A minecraft griefer, has the sole purpose to spam, destroy, and burn. The griefer is usually a low intelligence being, but they are quick and hide fast. You could leave for 5 minutes and your house could be burned to the ground. Griefers travel the server hub looking for more victims to lay waste to.
HOW TO CATCH THE GRIEFER
Now, if you are NOT a mod or an admin on a server, don't worry, there are still ways to defeat a griefer. First, you must know who it is. Try to keep an eye on your house, hide behind a block while they grief. Once you know who it is, there are 2 main ways to deal with him/her. One thing to do is to get a team of players and hunt down the griefer. The griefer gets terribly angry when you kill it. Keep doing this until it has left the server. Another way to do this is to locate their home, try sneaking behind them while they are walking to their house. Once you find the house, wait for them to leave, now this is the time to act. You must reverse-grief onto their house. Don't worry, you aren't the griefer if you are getting revenge. Steal their things and destroy their house. They will be furious and will most likely leave. But, if you DO NOT want to do the last one, try talking to an admin about it and get things straight.
Now, I am a server owner and head-admin on 2 other servers, and I have tested with the griefers and have found out what they like the most. Griefers like to feed off bigger and better structures then normal houses. So, if you want to stop a griefer if you are a mod or an admin, try this.
First, you need to make a good structure, use your epic building talents or download a building. Now, you must be able to get it back once it is griefed. So use world edit and use your //wand to claim the entire thing, then use //cut and after that use //undo. If the griefer griefs the building, you can use //undo and it will go back to normal. Now, make some bait. The best thing to do is to put a sign in front of the house saying DO NOT GRIEF OR BAN! The griefer will know the house is vulnerable and it will strike. Now you must watch front a safe place where it cannot see you. Once it is done griefing, say things like AHH MY HOUSE WAS GRIEFED!! and things like that, the griefer will know that its missions was succussful, but it doesn't know that it was fooled! Try to taunt to the griefer about it before you ban them, so you can have some fun, then use //undo on the house and PRESTO! you have caught yourself a griefer! Good job! Try to find your own ways to defeat a griefer and tell in the comments!
