General Suggestions

1. Audio, you need a better microphone, when you do get it make sure to record in Audacity and ensure you remove background noise

a. Dono t shout down your microphone and if you do turn down that bit

b. Avoid saying erm, and avoid just saying whato s on the screen

c. Try not to breathe into the microphone although removing background noise may remove that

2. Video, needs to be just the Minecraft game, in Sony Vegas you can crop but ito s preferred if you use a non-full screen recorder

a. Fraps, use an external hard drive if your computer cano t take it -make sure the hard drive is good though

b. Sony Vegas, Stop using Windows Movie Maker, Stop using Windows Movie Maker, Stop using Windows Movie Maker! Adobe Premier is also good, although is more suited to real life video

3. Name your videos better. Videos should be named [Gamename]: [Episode Title] [Series / Episode number]

a. Create better playlists and ensure to create a mix of content

b. Your youtube is your front page, show the people your content!

4. Gain an introduction and attempt to actually say things instead of just random words

a. An Introduction is not a clip necessarily in fact I prefer videos without clips at the start. Just some kind of uniform introduction.

b. Big youtubers have clip introductions o you are not one.

5. Close Skype and any social program when recording

6. Cut your videos to only the interesting bits.

a. Transition your videos a little, a fade or wipe if you think it looks better

7. Everyone has done survival and try to bring new content such as Adventure Maps, Mods and so on

a. Also leaving cords on? Not good

Suggestions to dramatically boost

1. Consider using Jewelbeat on the Music front. 0.99$ songs you are free to use in your videos as you see fit.

2. If you really want to boost things audio wise, add Ambient such as birds and crickets (see most of my videos descriptions (yt TheLordBones)) and Songs in the background. Mostly Audio Micro theyo re about $3.95 but you use them a lot.

3. Cut your videos dramatically. I record about 2 hours for adventure maps and they more than half in length in the end production o if you wouldno t be willing to upload the minute of footage you are watching as a separate video then cut it.
