Hi I am Docney and I would like to take a little time off to show how to make a server!
This is for windows users!
Not for all people!
First Step: goto your command prompt [search cmd in start menu] type in ipconfig in command prompt and press enter [keep command prompt open]
Second Step: look for something like, "default gateway: 192." Enter the ip of the default gateway into your browser [google chrome, firefox, internet explorer etc.]
Third step: when you goto your default gateway it will ask for user and password. Both user name and password can vary depending which ISP you are using. Default is Admin for Username and password is password. AT&T uses a different user and password setting when port forwarding.
Fourth step: Look for a tab or anything you can click on that say Port Forward.
Fifth step: Go back to command prompt and check what your IPV4 address is.
Sixth step: Go back to the portforward section and where it says something like
"192.168.0._" [yours might be different] fill in the blank with the numbers at the end of your address.
Seventh step: for the start and end port number input the number "25565" in both of them
Eigth step: Now click the confirm button or any button that says forward this port.
Ninth step: Goto you servers config file and open it up. Make sure the port is 25565 and also where it says ip input your IPV4 address. Save the config file then start your minecraft server. You are done! Make sure people join by telling them to go to your ip address which you can find here "ipchicken.com/"
