7 Easy steps to make a realistic mountain.

Has anyone thought about making a really awesome natural village or something? Well this has the answer! A nice looking mountain.

Here are the steps!

1. Make a plan for you mountain
The stone must be 3 blocks away from the edge.

2. Fill in the marked out areas.

3. Add some ores

4. Make the second layer

5. Fill in the marked areas

6. Repeat the process

7. Add some grass and flowers

It's obviously a small hill, but I like the method. Despite looking a little too artificial, I like your idea of two initial outlines. However, to make this as realistic as possible, random occurences need to be placed, like making some parts of the mountain go up two blocks instead of one.

i think this was a great help. i am trying to build a huge mountain and have had the hardest time trying to figure out how to go about doing it. and you have showed me exactly what to do i give you 100 diamonds.

This is by far the most realitic mountain i've ever seen. Mountains are totally 5 meters high. That makes my house bigger than a mountian of course.

its to many work if you wanted to build an mountain thats gona reach 264 blocks heigh
so use worldedit/voxelsniper for it to be faster

Mountains can't go that high. The building limit is 256.
