How to make a Tekkit server.

I think that many people here and anywhere else have problems with making a tekkit server. If you don´t know what tekkit is, check out the last notes.
So, you´ll first need the newest Tekkit Server. The latest is now 2.11. The server also comes with bukkit. So you don´t have to install bukkit anymore. In the .zip file (use 7-Zip or Winrar) you will find many files. First set your settings:
  1. Right-click the batch file, and click edit. There you will find the RAM the server can use. I dont know exactly how much but it has to be at least 512 MB. Correct me if im wrong.
  2. Now, open the server.properties file. There you can set the ip and more. Set the ip to your ip yu want to use for your server, it can be your home ip or other.
  3. If you finished with the settings, download the plugins you want to use.(Only if you want to.)
  4. Then start the launch.bat.

okay so i keep getting this error failed to bind to port and says that the address is already in  use :JVM_Bind

Hi.... I created a Tekkit server but my suffix's and prefix's arn't working. I am using Essentials. and I tried using PermissionsEx and GroupManager

everyone, please notice that you have to open your port and your firewall if you want friends to join, or you have to set up a virtual machine and make a "bridge over the port so you dont get hacked, but with the VMs im not so good, i cant explain that
