I have discovered a way to make a lava pool! Basically you make a + Shape in the ground and fill it in with lava and remove the center point and you have got a infinate lava pool! Yup, it's that simple. (You Need Minecraft version 1.9 Pre-Release 5 or later It will not work if you do not use this version.)

Well this should be fixed pretty soon :P Its just a bug that causes the lava to react a little as water does.

Well think about it this way then:
What if a griefer or 5 gets their hands on this idea? Take a look at your world when they are done with you!

This means you can used lava as a furnace fuel source now without having to worry about finding more...

Meh couldn't remember if it let you keep the bucket, but if doesn't as long as you have enough iron, you could use lava for some long furnacing.

Actually, it's called a rectangle. But you don't just dig out a square, oh no! After that, you must go on a magnificent adventure to find iron. Once found said iron, you venture back up your mine, then smelt it. But oh no! You forgot coal, so you have to venture on back to find coal. Once found coal, you head back for your hut, and smelt the iron. Then you realise, you need lava! You once again, go on a crazy adventure down your mine to find lava. Once found, you realise you need more iron, but you already have 3 in your chest, and decide to take that out, and smelt it. You then venture back on into your mines to find a water source. Once found said water source, you dig the 3x1x1 rectangle, and fill 1 block water, and on the other side lava.

Tada~

You sir, have just been Jevved.

Actually the 3x1x1 is just showing water and lava make obsidian in order to make obsidian it must be the source block that the water hits
