This blog is on how to make a few things if you want to make a role-playing world.
First things first: The map. Weather it is small or large, start with the center. The center can be as major or insignificant as you'd like, but start the build in the center. Then, build around the center. If its a simple map, the designing and building process should take about 1 and 1 half months to complete.
The spawn point is the key part. It decides the player's role. Are they good or evil? A meaningless speck or a world leader? Put the spawn in a house somewhere. That is the player's house.
NPC interaction: I recommend a command block that teleports the player to an interface where they interact. You may need to use Structure Blocks to re-create the entire map, but have one thing a TINY bit different, or something that changes the story completely happens, re-create the map, then edit the second version from there.
Lastly and most importantly, BE CREATIVE!!! I cannot stress this enough! Have original ideas! That is what makes an RPG unique.
Thanks for reading this, I hope it helps with building a role-playing map in Minecraft. If there are any questions you have or if you are confused with the wording of this post, please leave a comment. If you liked this post and it helped you, a diamond would be greatly appreciated!
