So, um yeah, Survival Games. Probably the most played Minecraft minigame ever. Have you every wanted to be successful at Survival Games? Then this is the blog for you! Follow these simple tips, and you'll be raising your chances at killing of your opponents!

Step 1: The lobby
This is probably the most important stage of the game, even though you're not actually in the game :P

It is VERY important that you get to know that map well. Memorize the location of the crafting table and enchantment table. Map out a path that has a lot of chests. The server is likely to provide a lot of kits as well. Try out different kits, and once you're happy with your kit, then proceed.

Step 2: The Start
I feel I should address teaming in SG, so I'll sum it up in one word. Don't. Why? Well, unless it's someone that you know 100% wont betray you, teaming is a bad idea. Your teammate could betray you at any moment, and you don't know when. Waiting for the other teams to betray their teammates is your best bet as of now. Let me sum up the Cornucopia in one word. Don't. Why? Because most of the deaths happen IN the Cornucopia. Sure, there's a ton of chests, which could give you some gear, but a smart person would see this, and use this to their advantage. Simply run away from the Cornucopia, preferably in a direction that no one else is going. This will allow you to get early access to all the chests outside of the middle, and allows you to not die :D

Step 3: Run! Just, Run!
You need to get away from all the others so you can loot more chests and plan your strategy. So I recommend you just charge for the borders of the map. This will allow you to get all the chests over there, and then you can eventually make your way back.

Step 4: Battle Strategy
Chances are that by now, you've found someone, and you want to kill them. Well, first you have to understand the armor. For instance, did you know chainmail is better then gold? And that gold breaks quicker? Knowing about your armor is a key factor to having the best results in SG.

Step 5: Back to Hell the Cornucopia
Usually the server has chests refilled at a certain time in the game. Wait until this happens, and make your way back to the Cornucopia. Make sure there are no players there first. Then, quickly proceed to grab everything you need. Then, you need to hide somewhere by the middle. Take this time to sort your inventory.

Step 6: Camping
People hate people who do this, yet they do it themselves :/

To lure people in, make sure they don't know someone has been to the middle yet. You can do this by making sure you're crouching, and not leaving any items on the ground. Once a person approaches, wait until they look in a chest, and when they do so, attack. This'll get them off-guard, and you'll be able to finish them.

Stay like this until Death Match. Kill off as many people as you like, and if you think someone is too tough for you to defeat, then you don't have to attack them. Wait until someone else does.

Step 7: Death Match
Once Death Match starts, you need to be prepared. Organize your inventory, and look at your opponents.

It's very important that at this time, you play defensive. Either shoot with a bow, or run around the arena, to make it clear to your foes that you aren't going to fight. This'll make them fight each other. Once a person kills the final person, and it's just you and them, then go in for the attack once they try to grab whatever they had.

Step 8: Victory!
Congratulations! By following this guide, you will enhance your probability of winning by a huge amount!

Extra tips:

Go all out
Run around the person, make crazy movements, while attacking him at the same time. This'll let you get plenty of critical hits, be unpredictable to your opponent, and possibly lag the person.

Don't underestimate items
I cannot enforce this enough. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE ITEMS! You remember that stick you ignored? Well, it'll be the only thing stopping you from getting that diamond sword. Remember the wheat you left? Well, I hope you like starving to death.

Supply Drops
Usually, there's also supply drops. To efficiently do this, use the same technique you used on the Cornucopia on it. Problem is, there's probably already someone there, so don't do this too often.

server: Mineplex - Extreme laggy version
Round one: Killed one person but helped someone who was getting killed with a diamond sword.
Round two: Killed pushed off a cliff (I had no armour, just a sword)
Round three: Hackers hate me, simple.
Round four: Well hello, deathmatch! Came third but accediently quit D: Amazing I got that far with lag thou...

Well. I probably will show the non laggy version next time, but I am just plain out horrible at the Hunger Games anyway.

Some advice for you: NEVER APPROACH THE CORNUCOPIA. NEVER. If you do, there's a 99% chance there will be other guys around and you'll get slaughtered, or even if you survive, your health unnecessarily depleted. Instead, find a good spot to hide once you have good gear, and wait for the deathmatch.
