As many people know, its pretty much impossible to survive on a flat-map without mods, well, this isnt true. there IS a way to survive. Its fairly simple too.

First thing you need to do is get food (find some cows or pigs and show em whose boss)

Next, start walking, any direction of your choice.

Pay attention you your rendered surroundings, and try to find a village.

In the village, you can raid it, or live in it. each one has a crafting table, a furnace, and a chest. you need to find that chest.

The chest will be in a building with stone slabs as edges for the top (i recommend going onto the church to find it. it will also have 2 furnaces in it.

You will get some good stuff in them, i once found a diamond sword :D

So, if you are gonna raid it, use some of the stuff to make an axe, then go to town on EVERYTHING. i reccomend killing the villagers, (idk if its only on mine or everyones) they start to get buggy and start to run around stupidly.

Also get a pick and take all the stone you can, so you can make better tools if you got iron and it ran out ad your were using wood.

That is pretty much how you can survive a flat map. That easy :D
