You know Hunger Game servers? Well, the book and movie versions of Hunger Games are totally different from Minecraft. People think "Wow, Hunger Games survival, that'll be cool, etc." but really, Hunger Games servers are the same thing as standard SMP. Though some servers have plugins specifically designed for Hunger Games, spawning monsters, etc. That, and there's a controller letting events happen.
Basically, Hunger Games servers are very unoriginal.

They should things like arena's with redstone, lava traps, mob spawners and map resets. Sadly, as it stands right now, most Hunger Games servers are very basic, and quite like standard SMP.
However, the ones with plugins that work well with the concept of Hunger Games are well on their way to being pretty good servers. The others need more originality, so instead of just using the Hunger Games concept, they should come up with something new. Shame on you, server admins.
