Note sure what this is about but I haven't posted anything and yet I've managed to gain 2 lvls while in idle makes me wonder if I posted more what lvl I'd get to... hmmmm....

I wonder if it would be possible to prevent this on idle users? Such as remove of idle users entirely or simply denial of advancement or other privileges until return. I don't know just bouncing ideas here, might save the site memory or it might cause to many problems just passing ideas.

Any thoughts? Similar experiences? Comment me.

http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/doku/ is a semi dormant user, hes also one of the highest levels and he has only submitted one thing, i dont honestly think he should have his experience restrained for his inactivity, he earned it even if he isnt here to baby sit everything, not that he should baby sit it

Hmmmm... well that screen-pack is very much well known.. :/ I mean it's not unreasonable that he gets the rep for having it, maybe a cap on the XP you can gain on one submission is the way to go?

i kinda disagree with that as well, he really does deserve the enormous amount of xp he's gotten for that even if he doesnt update it anymore, besides the only people who would be affected by that are people who deserve the amount they recieve

Well I suppose your right, I don't know I was just questioning it is all. Maybe instead of XP caps there should be submission caps depending on your current level? Like for example you get 5 additional uploads per level, starting with 20 uploads when you sign up. That way people wouldn't spam useless crap and upload things no one wants to see? Right?

well the problem with that is say someone isnt very good they would have to upload far more things to get enough xp to get more levels, but if they reach their limit then how would they actually level up, often times skins get lost in the sea and get very few views after a certain point in time

in all honesty the way the community is atm there isnt much that can be done to restrict the xp gains of the people who blatantly steal, put little effort forth, or actually need their xp restricted which wont effect people who try but have bad luck or bad artist skills. about the only thing you can do is flag things which need to be flagged and help those who try/care thrive
