Hey everyone, cakeface here.
Now you may be wondering, "Where the budunk has cake gone?" Well, I decided to take a little break from blogging and play some unmodded survival. I hope hat explains and here's the blog!
-------------------------
Most of you will probably know of Mojang changing their EULA (End-User License Agreement). But what does that mean? Well, Mojang do not want you making money out of their game from montenizing servers. This means that servers like The Hive ,or any really, are not allowed to sell in-game items, etc or anything that you pay for with really money, how ever... Mojang states you can sell 1-time access fees to servers and subscribtions. This change applys to every server and they must comply before August 1st, 2014. Some changes apply, though. If you sell a "Rank" it's allowed unless this play gets something other players don't, like kits and item generators.
So why is this so bad?
Big servers, like The Hive and Uber Minecraft have to pay for servers, as they have too many people to host on a PC. These costs can range from $50 dollars to $2000 and sometimes higher. In order to pay these bills, they rely on donations, ranks and perks to keep the server going. Without donations, it means no server and no server means no fun.
--------------------------------------------
Do you agree with what Mojang are doing? Do you think they should stop? Please tell me in the comments below! Jeez, I feel like I'm on YouTube saying that!
Thanks for reading and have a good one!

It'll cause server communities to become closer, servers will become more fair, and there won't be any more "OP factions" servers.
Bring on the EULA :D
I feel that players are split apart by having payed ranks, but really, at the end of the day your paying a server (which is good) to get in-game items rather than something in real life; something you can touch.
Everything is getting more and more digital.
Everything is connected. - Watch_Dogs, 2014.
Lol, but yea, I agree. Donors always thought that were better because they payed for stuff.
