Hello!
It's been a while, huh?
Well to be honest with you, I haven't been playing minecraft a lot lately. I'm slowly getting through one of those minecraft 'blocks'. (Get it? hehehe "blocks" like minecraft. blocks? okay.) Anyways, I've finally started playing again and it got me thinking. Is there anyway to get out of one of those blocks easily?
Over the years I have played minecraft, I found out a few tips if you really want to play minecraft, but just can't get inspiration. So here they are in a semi-organized list!

Let's start off with "I can't play minecraft without immediately logging off because of boredom."

Well first off, find out what got you to this point. Was it over playing the game itself, mastering all of the achievements and having nothing more to do other than build (which is not all it's cracked up to be), overplayed a certain favorite server of yours, etc. The list goes on. Let's say you've already completeled all the achievements of the game. Why not look up some player-created achievements that can give you a new challenge? If you've tired out your old survival world (or server)switch it up! Sometimes you just need to refresh into a different world (or server) with a new challenge.

Next on our list is the "I'm enjoying collecting resources, but what the heck am I suppose to do with all these blocks?"

In case you didn't understand that, you have no building inspiration. One the of the things I see helps me most when I have no inspiration, is again to turn to the minecraft community. Lucky for you, you're on one of the biggest minecraft websites on the internet. Look at what other people have built. Try not to wander outside of your building skills. Just face it, building Hogwarts on your favorite survival server is probably out of your range. If you see others' buildings and still have no inspiration, maybe try (I hate to say this but can't come up with a better word) stealing some. Find something not too hard to build, and copy the building style, or just the building in general. Both can help, in their respective ways. If you do end up copying the exact building of someone else, try to stick to one or two buildings, and build around it with the same mindset of the theme. Videos can help too!

Lastly, the "Minecraft is just the same thing over and over again. Mining and building is SO boring."

if you said this to people most would say, "Then stop playing it!" Well, I'm here to tell you to take their advice! Well not fully... Play a Mod pack! It's exactly what you need. First try starting with a technology based modpack where everything is hard to get. Once you get tired of that, try revisting plain old minecraft. If you go back and don't kiss the ground and thank the minecraft gods for not forcing you to make a jetpack or a compresser, you might want to try a different modpack. I'd reccomend doing some kind of more survival-based one. Possibly one that goes with a custom map? Those are always fun, especially when you bring friends along. On a side note, it does kind of matter what order you do these in. Usually survival modpacks based on combat and things along that tend to stick to a lot of minecraft's same principles, and you need something fresh and new.

Alright that's all I have for now. But before I go into the conclusion where I say goodbye there is one thing I want to say, sometimes taking a break from minecraft can be good. There, I said it. I have to say, playing Minecraft for long periods of time can get pretty bad on your social life (trust me, I know.)
I will admit that this started off as an article where I whined about how boring minecraft can get, but I decided against it, thankfully. I've wanted to make this post for a while, but hey look, it's my best friend, Procrastination! Anyways, I hope you found this tutorial/article thing useful! I have some other posts that a lot of people liked, you can go check those out if you'd like. If you have any praise or constructive criticism, I'd love to hear it! Please leave it in the comments below.

Thanks for reading!

P.S. It's been a while since I've posted, how's everyone been doing? I hope good!
CreditThank you to all the days where I was bored of minecraft and actually socialized.
