I have found the minecraft pre release a few days ago and decided its pretty good =) so i decided to share HERE YOU GO. 
As far as I know the pre release includes
.NPC villagers (MOB)
.Netherack Bricks (BLOCK)
.Netherack Brick Fences (BLOCK)
.Nether Wart (ITEM)
.Ghast Tear (ITEM)
.Blaze Rod (ITEM)
.SNOWMEN!!!!!! (MOB)
.MOOSHROOM (MUSHROOM COW!!!!) (MOB)
.Blaze (MOB) only in nether

*UPDATE*
I have also found out a few more things
.Nether Dungeons (spawners spawn BLAZE'S)
.new biome Mushroom Biome
.Giant Mushrooms appear in the mushroom Biome
.mooshrooms only spawn in mushroom biome

*UPDATE 2*
.Snowmen are not snowmen but Snow Golems
each other
.Create a snow golem by placing 2 snow blocks on top of 
and a pumpkin on top of them

*UPDATE 3*
.Snow golems are generated in minecraft
.Nether Ruins
.Magma Cube (MOB) only in nether
.Gold Nugget (not sure what it does)

why are alot of people happy about this when there is way more lag than there was in 1.8 pre-release?

But anyway PEOPLE HURRY UP AND REPORT BUGS TO NOTCH SO HE CAN FIX THEM!!!!

I dont even know why IM SO EXITED just pleased to see they've finally gripped the game and started MASS UPDATING one downside tho..... WAITING FOR A BUKKIT BUILD
=) anyways i will be looking foward to finding my 1st mooshroom =P
