This be a Blog Review about the new Minecraft 2.0 from Mojang.
What they added:
Pink Withers grow land around them; making tall grass and stuff appear.
Chickens will swarm when hit, and were added to Monster group. (Legend of Zelda?)
Super Hostile Mode, when it activates itself in a world, will make lighting spawn around you along with some overpowered mobs. (Yay!)
Summary:
I think this is a nice update-thing, even though not official. Basically released as a separate .jar, with Blue, Red, and Purple versions.

- Droppers are now Floppers and turn whatever item they're holding into Raw Fish when dropped
- Furnaces can explode
- Cows, pigs, sheep, and horses get fatter and make slower/deeper noises as they are fed. If you over feed them they explode
- Sheep float away when fed a golden apple

Your blog talks about 1.6, but you also added 2.0 features into the blog that will not come in 1.6. (TNT slabs, diamond chickens, dyed/tinted glass, pink withers, some other stuff)
The only things from 2.0 that will exist are the coal blocks, but different texture, and horses, but actual horses that you can ride, etc. and not just re-textured cows and pigs.
EDIT: Well, you can no longer get it, it seems Mojang removed that.
I have the .jar, but it's against Mojang's Terms of Use to re-distribute the Minecraft.jar. I'm sure it doesn't matter if an official version or not, still against the Terms of Use.
