Minecraft...

Minecraft...ah...what a brilliant and wonderfully created game! Wouldn't you agree?

In this blog i will be discussing the many reasons of why Minecraft is the best game ever in my opinion. So...let's dive straight in!

The Gameplay

Survival Mode

So...you create a new world, Steve spawns in a biome and BAM!, the world is your oyster! You start walking around aimlessly to find your feet and pick an area of land you wish to mine and build your house. You start by punching wood, create a crafting bench and then craft an axe and a pickaxe, and you begin to mine. Whilst your inventory is overflowing with cobblestone, you come across various ores. You find the coal ore and begin to mine the bulk of coal and then create a furnace, ready with coal. As you mine further, you come across iron ore. You mine it and then take it back up to your newly crafted furnace and smelt the ore! At this particular point, you feel free and liberated in the endless opportunities of Minecraft! You feel like you are on a journey in your own world and that nothing can stop you! But then you hear an arrow shoot past your ear as you grin to yourself...yes, it is nightime! You try and defend yourself against the Skeleton by punching it to death quite nervously and conquering it. At this stage you immediately craft a stone sword...ready for battle!

Being in survival mode takes you on a journey of fun, battle, protecting and farming. This side of Minecraft is brilliant! The idea of having to work for your resources is perfect and you learn to become patient with the game as you progress. You realize that you have to protect not only yourself, but your possessions, house and possibly a pet wolf ;). Realizing this, you mine further and become more deeply entrenched into the adventurous game play of Survival mode. It truly does give you a sense of freedom. You progress and build bigger houses, your own farm system, trade with villagers and fight bravely against the monsters of the night with no fear. Mojang have engineered Survival mode brilliantly to perfection and made it embraceable to all people, making it a brilliant game mode!

Creative Mode

So...you spawn in your newly created world and find a nice, relatively flat space and start laying roads. As your roads become longer and more complex, you begin to brainstorm ideas for skyscrapers, buildings, houses, gardens, transport systems etc. All these ideas add to your excitement and spur you on to make a beautiful city, the city of your dreams! You progress with brand new buildings, houses and decide to build your first iconic skyscraper for your city to be. You begin to lay the foundations and as you build upwards you look down and realize how flawless your skyscraper will look. You carry on, and come across various problems, some of them being, knowing when to stop adding more floors, design flaws and examining your tower and wondering to yourself how you could perhaps improve it. Over the next few weeks you add more buildings, some pretty gardens, fountains and a skyscraper or 2 more. You turn backwards and fly away for a while and as you turn round, your city comes to life and you begin to see how your skyline is developing and you reflect on how well your city is progressing. After a few days, you create a planetminecraft account and upload your review of your city along with some screenshots. BAM! You're on the popular reel! You're views double, then triple, comments go in to the hundreds and your diamonds also. A YouTuber records a walkthrough with cinematic effects...your views and comments soar! People beg you to release a world download file, and you do this without no hesitation whatsoever! You think to yourself, "Wow, never thought i could get this far!"

Creative mode is my preferred game mode. As you might already know, i am the 2nd builder and architect of Rosavia City - www.planetminecraft.com/project/rosavia-city---modern-city-project/. The feats that can be achieved with creative mode is unbelievable! Buildings that you thought could never be built in a block-by-block game, you have made reality. Along with a friend you begin to create a masterpiece of a city which appears to be untainted. You replicate buildings with flawlessness and the endless results of Minecraft become real to you and your friend. Personally, when i uploaded the Rosavia City project to planetminecraft.com, we never thought we would achieve over a thousand views, let alone over 16,000! But thanks to people like you, taking time to read a blog i have put a lot of effort and time into, you have achieved, what was in our minds, the unthinkable. Thank you!

Minecraft Community

The Minecraft Community is in my eyes, the best gaming community at the moment! It stands out boldly among other gaming communities as being the most friendliest, outspoken and funniest community. We do not take each other too seriously and think of each other as friends and respect one another...well, most of us! The community is not only made up of the consistent players of Minecraft but Mojang and well-known YouTubers. Mojang in particular are made up of such warm people. Without them, the game wouldn't be here and i wouldn't be here writing this blog, thanking them. Mojang are always looking towards they're players for inspirations for updates, they're feelings on a matter and ways they think we could help them. Aren't they just brilliant?!

Famous YouTubers very much thankful to the Minecraft game with providing them with a career on YouTube and playing the game they love and respect. We all love watching our personal favourite YouTube people and enjoy they're gameplay and perhaps their mishaps in the game ;). Despite me not being a YouTuber posting my adventures of Minecraft, i would like to thank Mojang on behalf of them myself with providing them with a career they love and cherish very much. Thank you to the YouTubers also for uploading consistently and making contact with their beloved fans at Minecraft conventions and such. Dedication!

From the amazing game modes and adventures in Minecraft, to the community and the dedicated YouTubers of it also, it all adds up to make a perfected game that will last for many, many years to come and will leave a deeply embedded footprint in the gaming industry. Let's make the most of it whilst we can and take time to thank Mojang for there beautiful game!
