Hello Planet Minecraft!
Recently I wrote a blog about how Minecraft was changing and some things weren't great and that there are stuff that aren't just "Minecraft". Well I had a big think and now I came up with a new answer. Some things in Minecraft will never ever in a million years change.
Some people were annoyed that mobs started running away, infinite fire spread was removed, door and chest sounds were tweaked and so on. I'm here to tell you that those are lousy reasons to stop playing Minecraft. Of course it was weird with the potions, then the nether and the end. Well, that isn't going to change a million things in Minecraft's gameplay.
We all hate new things then we like it after we get used to it. It might be tempting to offend Jeb and Notch for making the grass dull and making the lighting errors be our arch-enemy. The reason I like Minecraft is because currently they are developing there game. They don't make it, release it then just see if we like it. They make snapshots to see if we approve what they are doing.
If you are annoyed of the dull grass then install a texture pack, but if you like it then play as is. If you want to be a Minecraft Alpha type of person then just use bows and swords but if you want to be Harry Potter then go around using potions and enchanting tools. Minecraft is a great sandbox game because it doesn't force you to do things. You have the freedom of choice.
Some things will never change. it will stay. It won't be taken out. Just like our good old Steve skin and our traditional way of punching trees to start off your first night. But of course, some things do change. Some things are added. Some are taken out. But the point is you can do what you want.
