The Great Grief wars

It was just another day, like any other. All was at peace. Or so everyone thought.....
The guards were sleeping at the walls of Fabled Age, the King was enjoying a royal feast with his friends and advisors and the children were playing happily in the streets - carefree and completely unaware of the danger that awaited...
But far away in the Lands of Gree, the griefer armies were preparing themselves for the fight of their lives. The looks in their eyes could outstare an enderman, and they had the full arsenal of weapons at the ready: TNT, lava swords, spears, and flame-spitting sticks! Their war council gathered to plot a masterplan...
Once the preparations for their attack was complete, the armies of Gree charged to the city of FabledAge. The sound of their battle cries sent the playing kids scattering to find hiding places and suprised the guards so much they starting shooting and killing one another. But as the armies drew closer, the King's soldiers were ready to fight!
General Skydreaz with his Elite squad of soldiers went out first, unseen in the mist. As they caught sight of the first glimpse of The Plains of Despair, they turned bleak. Things looked very bad. The Griefer armies had burnt down every plant in sight and the entire plain was black and charred. And not only that - the Griefers were well-armed with guards posted at every corner of the plains.

General Skydreaz sent a messenger back to the Castle to report on the situation. There, the main army was asembled, the expert swordsmen squad was lead by the brave dropbear, the archer squad was lead by General Skies, the great cavalry was lead by General Paril and the stealth Ninja squad, lead by TheNinjaHedgehog.
The FabledAges army was very powerful. They had the best tactics, the strongest armour and the bravest soldiers. And unlike the Griefers, these were honourable men, willing to die for their country.
As the army approached the Plains they started a Compass tactic. First, the archers launched their arrows at the griefers whilst the Ninjas flanked them. Following the archers were the swordsmen and cavalry...
The brave fighters had, however, run into unforeseen trouble... The griefers had set up land mines which meant that this would be no walk-over for the soldiers of Fabled Ages.  As the land mines exploded, leaving destruction in their wake, the griefers charged out of their camps, burned through armour, ruthlessly launched their spears into the poor horses' legs ... causing the plains to turn from black to red as the blood of brave warriors and their animals spilled onto the once fertile soil.

The FabledAge army tried every tactic they had and each one failed. And so the war continued for many years, wearing out the King's resources and his men's morale.
But one day, things changed. New weapons arrived -enchanted armour-plated, diamond-sharpened swords and flaming arrows that exploded upon impact.  Still, the King's men did not attack. They waited for the full moon to wane so that they could launch their onslaught on the darkest night...
The griefers were asleep, no doubt dreaming dreams of victory...  And that is when the FabledAge put their plan into action...
First they sent in the most stealthy of their Ninjas to steal griefer clothes. The swordsman took up positions silently outside the enemy tents. The horsemen hid silently in a nearby clump of trees, ready to charge at the camp at their commander's cry. The archers got ready to shoot and the scouts were positioned and equipped to kill anything or anyone that tried to make an escape.

When the signal sounded, the swordsmen sliced the tent supports, causing the tents to collapse on the sleeping griefers (who woke up confused). The archers took their aim and shot the TNT, wreaking havoc. The ninjas killed all the griefer generals, whilst the horses charged through the tents, the horseman killing every griefer in sight. The griefers ran for the hills, but the scouts were waiting for them and not one escaped. By the time the sun arose from the horison, the griefers were defeated!
That day was a day unlike any other as the people of FabledAge celebrated their freedom!
