I would like to point out that "nya" is the Japanese term for the noise that a cat makes meaning that called it nyan dog, is the same principal as calling a cat "woof cat".

i know that.
but it's name has been taken as nyandog becuase of the rainbow. not the noise.
there is no japanese noise for dogs. they just woof like normal ones :D
