"Oh my gosh, HE UPLOADED!" I hear everyone collectively shout. Yes, I have. Sorry about the lack of uploads, I've been pretty busy recently, with school, judging and my new mod rank. But hopefully I'll be blogging a lot more now. So, enjoy this poetry collection. This is a collection of various poems I have posted in various comments on the forums. Be warned, there are a lot, and I might throw in a few original ones down the line.

Just a note, a lot of them are bad. Really bad.

Various Poems

Free
The pain has left me
Relief rushes through my being
I am finally free
Free from the pain, the disease.

I frolic and I play
Happily watching the world go by
This will be my everyday,
Because I am free, from the pain, from the disease.

So I float like a cloud
I float above the living
Because, you see
Life was my pain, breathing was my disease
But now death has come,
I am finally free

When the Creatures Came
When the creatures came,
When we saw their gleaming scales,
They set our homes, our lives, aflame,
No one was spared, not the strong, not the frail.

The golden blaze replaced the sun,
The crackle of wood took over the birdsong,
The sparks in the sky twisted and spun,
The roars of the beasts rung out like a gong.

We threw arrows and spears,
Shot bullets from guns,
But this just angered them: we witnessed the fall of our peers,
Fathers screamed for daughters, mothers for sons.

Then they left the ashes of our homes,
Leaving broken people, bodies that were maimed,
The once vibrant streets were now catacombs,
When the creatures came.

The Man in the Iron Helmet
Many years ago I was laying in my bed,
The thoughts of the day leaving my head,
Then I heard something,
I heard a little ding,
And then I saw him, and I filled with dread.

He wore an iron helmet,
A green suit that barely fit,
He smelt faintly of mud,
He was stained with blood,
His eye was full of dirt and grit.

"I'm not going to hurt you"
He said squeaking his shoe.
"Come with me,"
"Then you'll see,"
"All that I've gone through."

He whisked us away to a tiny house,
The only sound was the squeak of a mouse,
"This was my home,"
I began to roam,
But he whisked us away, being rather crouse.

Now we were in a muddy field,
Around the now smiling man wheeled.
"This was where I fought"
My stomach was in a knot,
But to his smile, I began to yield.

We were now back to my bed,
Thoughts spinning in my head.
"This is the end"
"Now, are we friends?"
I looked into his smiling face and "Yes", is what I said.

The Electricity of Infatuation
I saw her standing atop the emerald hill,
Immediately, my heart began to throb,
The basic fabric of time stood dead still,
To gain her affection was my one job.

The current coursed through my veins,
The voltage made my body shake,
The static of her voice clouded my brain,
The power of my love made my common sense break.

Her unmatched beauty let out a bright glow,
Like an ornate lantern, hanging for all to see,
Her honey-like laugh, like a stream, flowed,
Then I let out my affection for her free.

She shook her head, and it crushed my heart,
The electricity of my love could never again restart.

The Eternal War
The creeping shadows enveloped my soul,
The gloom surrounded my vision, dark as night, black as coal.

Then radiant white filled the air,
The darkness now gone, the light was a beaming flare.

The Blue Sky Beyond the Bars
Through the canopy the parrots flew,
The sky through the trees was a shining blue,
Cicadas chirped beyond our sight,
The flowers were glowing in the dwindling light.

Then the peace was shattered,
As quick as a flash we all scattered,
I was too slow; a net appeared over my head,
The only feeling I could muster was dread.

They forced me into a rusty cage,
As it rocked around I fell into a rage,
I screamed and hollered, but to no avail,
Beyond the bars, we had reached the end of the dusty trail.

I was thrown into a dark and noisy room,
The engines roared, I coughed from the fumes,
Other creatures screamed around me,
I tore at the bars, but I could not flee.

The shaking stopped, and I could see out of the hatch,
But immediately my cage was snatched,
I was brought outside, the air was cold,
The ugly surroundings were a sight to behold.

I travelled for a while, scared out of my mind,
I heard the sound of engines humming behind,
Then we came to a sudden stop,
I felt my shattered heart drop.

I was being carried to a silver gate,
I had no idea about my future or my fate,
The human opened the door, and I heard the screams,
Yells I didn't hear in my worst dreams.

I was thrown into a dull, damp pen,
I saw my fellows being taken by the men,
On the same day I arrived, it was my turn,
They cut me, doused me with chemicals that made me burn.

It didn't stop at one time, however,
It seemed like my pain would go on forever,
I spent years and years in this torturous hellhole,
They attacked my body, my mind, my soul.

One final day, I had finally had enough,
The years of pain and torture had made me remorseless and tough,
When they came to get me, I lashed out with a fist,
This horror was not how I wanted to exist.

I ran for my life, dodging knives and hands,
I acted on impulse, I had no plans,
But then I decided to stand my ground,
I leapt on a human and brought them down.

I ripped with my fingers and bit with my teeth,
He screamed and struggled from beneath,
I then left, leaving him a lifeless mess,
I was the ape they would no longer oppress.

I ran for the door, and cast it aside,
The humans stayed, back, afraid of the change of tides,
I burst out into the black night,
My heart pounding, my eyes bright.

One day I will return to the house of death,
Free those who are struggling for breath,
So they can see the forests, the stars,
So they can see the blue sky beyond the bars.

Britannia
Be it the rolling green hills of the Scottish moors,
Rain pattering down on roofs and doors,
I for one love this little nation,
The food so unique, to the old train stations.
And you might say my nation is archaic,
Norman castles to be found, and Roman mosaics.
Never, however, has a country so small been so big,
In the future you may go, far back in the past you may dig,
A unique sight, experience, feeling, is never far away.

The Beauty of Nature
Never has there been a thing with such beauty unrivalled.
A golden sun that rises over an emerald hill.
Trees that sprout ever upwards into the bright sky.
Under our feet, glowing crystals that drift in the eternal darkness.
Red flowers that bloom in a flowing field.
Elegance that no man can hope to match.

Haikus

The Relic
The grass covered hill.
Surrounded by the city.
A relic of peace.

Clouds
The clouds drift slowly.
Over the heads of people.
We gaze in wonder.

The Orchard
The orchard with leaves
So bright, so peaceful, so green.
So tranquil, so green
