EA Games and PopCap have spoofed a handful of other major games, creating some really lovely artwork in the process. What if Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 took place in the world of Minecraft? What if it were a sports game? Or a science-fiction shooter like Halo 5?

All of the images are in the above gallery, along with the shots they’re spoofing for comparison’s sake. Three of the five are of other EA titles: Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, FIFA 16, and Unravel. Two are of Microsoft-owned IPs: Minecraft and Halo 5.

No Sony exclusives at this point, sadly, probably due to partnership deals between EA and Microsoft. Recall, Plants Vs. Zombies was a timed exclusive on the Xbox One. Plants Vs. Zombies 2, on the other hand, is a multi-platform release. I wouldn’t mind seeing God of Plantsor Uncharted: Peashooter’s Revenge though.

In any case, this is a bit of lighthearted marketing that’s good for both Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 and the games it pokes fun at, all of which have yet to release save Minecraft. Though even that game is likely going to release on ten or twenty more platforms before its time is done.

It’s an especially fitting little bit of marketing given the entire game is something of a spoof of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to begin with—a game made by EA rival Activision.
