Great content doesn't sell it self.

I'm studying marketing myself and that's something i learned as part of the curriculum. You have to advertise at least a small amount to get noticed. If you content is epic though that will initiate a snowball effect if the people who take notice tell other people.

There are a lot of ways to advertise your stuff. Just contacting reviewers and stuff, start PMC topic, etc. But you would have to put some faith in other people and it's just easy to shout out your own stuff on popular channels. Do that frequently and people will get to your channel and atleast a small part of that group will subscripe because some people are just dumb.

There is a lot of content on minecraftforum and PMC i just think is childsplay but it does get more credit as my stuff which i think is way better ( who doesn't think that of his/her own stuff?) so yeah. I don't do shout outs because i think you should keep a bit of dignity, nor do i advertise or bump the hell out of my stuff. I still have some faith just by helping people out, sharing knowledge and signatures people will eventually notice you.

I might just give in to the urge to spam the hell out of my builds to get some credits though. The little feedback i do get is pretty positive so it wouldn't bother to many people i guess. (a slippery slope :P )

I don't like the shout outs either, but it works because there are a lot of dumb people. You can question the value of those subscribers and likes but the fact remains. It works and therefore it's a common practice. You can't change that.

Frustration is a negative emotion. Just let it go, it isn't worth the attention and you can't change it. Only positive thing you can do is start a support group for peoples to stay strong and don't give in to the urge ;) xD

This was never really a proper "Rage" thing, I was just trying to get a point across, but you are right. I should let this go :3

And yeah, us people who do create the good things and get under noticed because of the spammers is unfair :)

And about the advertising thing....
Yeah you do have to advertise, but not in the way of spamming out video's with it. Maybe like a forum page with a link to your stuff :D

I would reply longer but I have stuff I need to sort out ahahaha

Thanks for the longest message I have ever received

Well said, though I must admit there are days I look at my analytics in dismay and think 'Would just once be so bad?'. Luckily thus far I've held strong and resisted but I suppose I can see how people (usually the more impatient ones) get to thinking it's worth a try.

'Just say no' kids ;-)

Yeah, I'll admit I've wanted to try it once, but then I think about how it'd "Ruin" my Channel.

And yush kids, remember "Just say no" :3

Another good video, T.R.E. Can't wait for you to get back in the flow of making videos. I 100% agree with everything you said in the video.
