While the textures are grainy, I could easily identify what they were supposed to be. It is my best guess they look that way because of all the sand in Hawaii acts like sandpaper and causes more wear and tear than away from the surf. Many of the textures are drawn from scratch, which is refreshing from the usual copy-paste. Some say that the quality is very low however you do not need to be a pro at digital art to qualify as an artist. The pack is not complete, but it is a beginning.
