THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT REVIEW

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has amazing and rich content. The game offers a massive and packed map. With big cities to swamp villages; it's amazing to just go out exploring, not knowing what you're going to find next. One minute you're enjoying the view, the other you're battling out a stronghold. The game can really surprise you at times, in good ways.

The sounds around are pleasing to the ears. You feel as if you're right in there. In big cities, you hear the flutes and the music as you wake up in the morning to watch on a dancing crowd. In the forests, you get the chills when you hear hounds and wolves howling during late nights in the forests.

The graphics of this game is absolutely amazing. Being an RPG, I've never expected it to be this damn good. You know, I thought Skyrim's graphics were amazing, and yes that was back in 2011, but man oh man, when you compare the graphics of these two, you feel as if Skyrim is a PS2 game. The Witcher 3 is truly next-gen. And it's one, if not, the first game for the XBOX One and the Playstation 4 that actually looks next generation, and actually feels like it. At some scenes it actually looks like it's real. Even the very little details count in the game. And that's what I love about the graphics.

Now, on to the gameplay. The game has a very interesting story, where you have to find a woman close to you, that goes by the name of Ciri. Though, if you think that this will be a walk in the park, you'll be wrong, as the story has you go through lots of different missions, for different people, and different styles, and these missions will slowly progress you through your main story. Now, don't get me wrong, these aren't side missions, and that's what I love about it. Unlike Skyrim, this game doesn't have a straightforward story, where you have to go to one person, retrieve that thing, go to another person, retrieve another thing, and oh look, you're halfway there without realising it. It becomes boring, and sadly repetitive.

But with the Witcher 3, I felt like every mission I did was like a different game. It was very fun, and you just have to experience it all. The story keeps me thinking, and thinking, what will happen next?

The sidequests are awesome too! With many different varieties, such as helping people out, clearing caves, slaying monsters and more! You surely won't miss the fun even after completing the game.

The replay value of this game is very high. Many missions require you to choose the outcome, and for this there's deep roleplaying. If you choose one scenario, you'll surely want to try out the other one!

Many people compare the game to other RPG's, such as Skyrim. Now in comparison, I think The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has a better storyline and better missions overall. The combat of the game is amazing compared to Skyrim's slashing mechanism. And look, don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Skyrim, it's actually one of my favorite games of all time, but it's just that there are many things The Witcher 3 does better. And of course, there are things that Skyrim does better. For example, freedom. You are able to create your own character, with your own role. And your main character doesn't even have a voice, but that gives you space to imagine and create how you desire.

So summarising it all, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is definitely the best in the series. The game had high potential when it was first announced, and for me, it fulfilled all of it, it turned out even better than I thought it was. The enviroment is amazing, with a huge map and lots of different cities and areas. It's perfected with amazing graphics, the best I've seen on a 'next gen' console yet, because this game is truly next generation. The sounds and the cutscenes are also really nice. The combat is what sets it out apart from other RPG's, because it's actually fun. And how your character progresses. I was excited playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the combat and story bored me to death.

This game is truly amazing, and I'm calling it out from now, it's 2015's game of the year..

And that is why I'm giving this game a huge

9/10
