I'll Start of by saying this is NOT a exact tutorial! It is some tips and guidelines for those wishing to build with the Nordic/Skyrim theme!
This guide is recommended for people who already now a bit about building and not meant for starters! It is simply to teach the theme!
AND WE'RE OFF!
[1] The FIRST thing you'll be building with this is a simple Stone/Stonebrick base along with appropriate wooden frames determing the size of your build!
A quite obvious base:
Another smaller example
[2]The next big thing about Skyrim-like builds is how the building pops out of it's base, be sure to add this!
A less obvious and more detailed version:
[3] The roofing is by far the most challenging of the theme for any builder. The roof should start on the smallest side of the build's shape. It should then use a arch that goes from small (1x1 to 2x1) and get larger (3x1 and 4x1)
A great example:
Another arch:
These were the basics of the theme now here are a few more tips that could beenfit all your builds!
[5] Fences can help in 2 MAIN ways!
To exaggerate framing like so...
Or fill in corners and small sides...
[6] Lastly, are flower pots. These are typically used in any builds that have larger frames. These work well in Skyrim themed builds!
Flower pots were added to fill these 2 large frames excellently!
That is all now! High-five to those who actually read all this! If you noticed I used the shade of blue that got lighter and lighter as the blog went on. I did that so the shade eventually would go down to:
THE COLOR OF DIAMOND! SO NOW I MUST ASK FOR ONE :D
Diamond and Favorite if it helped in anyway
I will be making another blog covering the VERY basics of building. If the words Framing and such confused you Subscribe so you can see the next blog in which I go over such topics!
