Everyone loves the satisfaction of getting diamonds on their posts and seeing that someone else subscribed to them, but lets be honest here, how many of those subs actually look at your content, and how many of them just subscribe and move on? Lets get to the bottom of this.
So I'm not really one to crunch the numbers (thats a total lie) so I'm gonna try and keep the least amount of math in this. So ive looks at my content and I've calculated an average of 6 diamonds per submission. Now, looking at the amount of subscribers i have on my account, that number seems a little low. As of this blog, i have 117 subscribers on PMC. Now I don’t mean to sound like a b*tch here but if you sub to me, doesn’t that mean you like my content? And aren’t diamonds there for people to show that they like the content? So why don’t people have more diamonds?
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t only on my profile. The way I’ve seen most profiles is that they either have a lot of subs but barely any diamonds or a bunch of diamonds but barely any subs. Which i find weird, because I’ve never seen a channel that has an equal amount of subs to diamonds ratio… Like seriously, whens the last time you saw ANYTHING where the amount of subscribers reflected the support they get on content?
When it comes to PMC, I'm not going to hold back when i say that the subscriptions submissions deliver system really sucks... I mean come on, its just this small little box on the home page that barely anyone clicks, get alone clicks on to see all of them. There's no actual tab on the website that brings you to your subscriptions. Honestly, i think thats flat out dumb. It makes it even harder for people to notice their subscriptions submissions.
This doesnt only apply for PMC, this applies for things like YouTube too... Going back to the example of PewdiePie from last blog, he has almost 30 million subscribers, now do his videos each get almost 30 million views? or 30 million likes? No, they don't. I actually went and checked on a few of his videos for the purpose of this blog (lord help my soul) and his recent videos get 15 million views tops, and barely even half a million likes per video. With someone as big as PewdiePie, this pattern is still clear!

Now lets be honest here, what’s so hard about taking 3 seconds to click that little diamond above the submission? It’s not like it costs money, or you need to sign up again to do so. You just click the button, show your support and move on in life, its easy. Whats the point in even subscribing if you arent going to continue to show your support for the person and their content? I really dont understand it.
Do me a favor, next time you see a submission that you think is "so awesome" or "rockin", just give it a diamond. It takes no more than 3 seconds and it makes the other person happy to see their XP go up by a little each time.
