Survival - Part 6

Morning.
The sun rose in the Minecraft world. Adam, Rich, and Neo all woke up, like all Minecrafters wake up at the exact same time. "Good morning everybody!" Adam said. "Well, what should we do today?". There was loud, clear sounds of skeletons and zombies burning from the daylight. Neo ran outside to grab the drops. Rotten flesh, bones, and arrows. He soon came back in with 4 arrows, 5 bones, and 6 rotten flesh. "Gimme some rotten flesh! I'm hungry!" Rich said to Neo. Neo tossed 2 rotten flesh to Rich. Then he tossed 2 to Adam. "Thanks Neo" Adam said. Rich started munching on one of his rotten flesh. "I'll go mining. Be back with diamonds!" Rich exclaimed. He then quickly ran outside to the mine and started digging. "I guess we should join him." Adam said. He put his pickaxe into the first slot of his hotbar and ran out. Neo did the same and soon joined Rich and Adam. And away they mined.
They somehow managed to find a whoooooooole lot of coal while mining, though only 2 pieces of iron ore. They we're wondering why. But just as Rich's pickaxe went a little over half it's durability, they ran into a cave. "Sweet!" Rich said happyily. "Let's go!" He ran straight into the cave, losing 1 1/2 hearts from fall damage. "Ow" Adam and Neo looked down to see Rich. "Make some blocks to get down so you down hurt yourselves, and so we can get out easily." Rich said. Adam did exactly as he said, placing cobblestone down making some sort of staircase. Adam and Neo soon joined Rich at the cave. Rich put up a torch. "It's a pretty big cave, too" Rich said. "Nice" Adam replied. Without any more words, they all started heading into the depths of the cave, leaving torches in their path. They would find a few monsters here and there, but there was one very scary moment. Neo was mining a vein of iron when all of the sudden, he heard "sssssssSSSSSSSSSSSSS" right behind him. Neo turned around and made a scared face. BOOM!!! Suprisingly Neo did NOT die. But he had half of a heart, with not enough food points to heal him. And to top it off, nobody had any food. No bread, apples, rotten flesh, meat, nothing. "You all right?" Adam asked. Neo nodded. Shaking.
Soon they decided to head back up from the cave. Neo was still surviving with half of a heart, and Adam and Neo we're kind of like his bodyguards until food arrived. "I would get food, but I really don't trust Rich to protect you all by himself" Adam said. "Fine! I'll get food!" Rich said. He left Neo and Adam on search for food. "Wait!" Adam said to Rich. "Can you give us your iron ore first so we can smelt it?" "No!" Rich said as he was running away in search for food. "Sigh". Adam and Neo walked into the house. Adam gave Neo his iron ore and coal, and Neo put them bot into the furnace. 15 pieces of iron ore plus the one Adam saved. So that's 16 pieces. As the iron was being smelted, Adam thought about what should be made with the iron.
