I have another tale for today, but it's not a member of a server's staff team this time. In fact, it's a huge YouTuber known as CavemanFilms! If you somehow haven't heard of him, you can check out his channel here - you'll be in for a treat.
Me: Why did you buy Minecraft?
CavemanFilms: I bought Minecraft as soon as I started making videos. I started playing months before that, on a friends account that a lot of us shared at our school. We played Minecraft during lunch and had a great time!
Me: What did you do on your first world?
CavemanFilms: On my first world I decided to build towns and cities so it felt like I was in a real world. I had a castle and rail systems to other neighboring areas and it was pretty awesome.
Me: Why did you choose your name?
CavemanFilms: To be honest, I don't remember why I chose the name Caveman, but I made it over 8 years ago. I think the closest reason I can think of is that in fifth grade, my teacher had made us read a book called 'Holes', and one of the characters were named Caveman. Obviously the Films part comes from me wanting to make videos.
Me: What made you get into creating YouTube videos?
CavemanFilms: I use to play this other game called "RuneScape", a lot of other famous Minecrafters migrated from RS too, like AntVenom and SkyDoesMinecraft. We were all inspired to make RuneScape Machinimas because of a really amazing RuneScape Video Maker, Tehnoobshow. My first video channel was actually a terrible ripoff called TheFroobShow but I mean c'mon, I was like 11. Hehe.
Me: Is it hard creating as much content as you do?
CavemanFilms: Yeah it can be very hard to make daily videos, if you feel sick or something or you just don't feel up to making a video, it can be a real test of mental acuity.
Me: Whato s the best part of being a popular YouTuber?
CavemanFilms: The best part of being a popular YouTuber is to know that there's so many people who know of me and enjoy my work. With those guys out there, I feel like my life has a pretty awesome meaning because I'm effecting and entertaining so many other lives.
Me: Congratulations on 200k subscribers! What does it feel like?
CavemanFilms: It feels amazing. 200,000 people is about half the population of the city I live in. Just picture that: if every one of my subscribers replaced a person in my city, then half of the city would know who I am and enjoys my content. I honestly never expected to get to 200k, but now that I have... I'm not going to stop until I reach one million!
Me: If you could add one thing to Minecraft, what would it be?
CavemanFilms: I guess if I were to add anything it would just be a sprint key, I find it like a necessity but double tapping sprint is really annoying.
