Hello all you lovely users from PMC ^^
I'd like to take a moment here to thank you all, and tell you a bit of my story.
This isn't going to be a fancy text with funny pictures. It's going to be my thoughts and maybe a few rants.
First off, I'd like to thank everybody who has downloaded my texturepack(s). This, I feel, has given me some personal achievement and increased my level of confidence a little. I'm not a great artist by any means and have only been drawing a few good drawings in my time.
Secondly, the making of these Texturepacks is fun, and even though it's sometimes tedious I still think it's worth it.
It all started out with me, playing minecraft using various texturepacks with my favorite one being the Ovo's Rustic. Eventually though, it stopped getting updated and I couldnt' find another texturepack that pleased my eyes. So, I got the idea of making a simple texture pack (Which I've given up on, because I think it is ugly, so if anyone wants to continue it, just write to me and I can give you permission). I quit that texturepack fairly quickly and decided to start over on a new one. A better one. A smooth one. This ended up becoming Pure-Edge. I decided on a set of principles for the texturepack as I went along editing it, and have changed the style slightly from it's original form. My current texurepack is thus now both easy on the eyes, simple, and still quite good looking. Most of the blocks and items looks like default, and I've kept all the default colours, with extremely few exceptions. This texturepack of mine is, to me, so good that I cannot play with another texturepack any longer. I need the clear seperation between blocks and the lighting effect around the edges, otherwise I destroy wrong blocks and what not. I don't know if that's just me, but a friend of mine can't play with other texturepacks than mine either, so I guess it's not just me heh.
Now for a little rant :/ _dico's oCd texturepack. Really people?!? I mean, I see that's it's okay and not bad, but still. Why did it get so popular? I don't get it. Truthfully I don't think he's been getting all those downloads and views by being a passive uploader. I suspect proxy's and friends + auto-reload or mouse recording programs have been used to increase the popularity. I once asked him what he did to become popular, if he put up ads on any websites or something but I never got an answer. Anyways...
I know there is still some minor and a few major things to be changed in my texturepacks, and I'll get around to do so eventually. Right now I have a lot of stuff going on in my life, including university and other goals, and some sickness, so my time around MC is limited.
A personal thanks and thumbs-up for my friend Redkiller123 who got me interested in Minecraft in the first place :D
