Honestly I think one of the most fun things ever do in Minecraft is PvP. PvP, incase you didn't know already, stands for "player vs. player." This is the thing for some that makes the game fun and for others makes the game a series of rage-quits and stress.
Minecraft PvP can be quite difficult, it isn't just something that comes naturally. PvP is more than just spamming your mouse button and hitting other players with swords, it takes some skill. This tutorial is for the people that don't know much about PvP, and for people who are just curious in seeing what I have in store for you.
Enjoy.
So I got this sword. Now what?
Congratulations, what you have in your virtual hand is one of the most useful and deadly tools of Minecraft. It's called a sword, you hit people with it. As I said earlier, PvP isn't just about murdering people, it's also about being deadly. What good is food if you don't have a mouth? Please move on to the next paragraph.
Change mah settings?
(You don't need to to do this if you see it more fit. I play better with a higher sensitivity.)
Go to your options menu in Minecraft and change your mouse sensitivity to like 123% or a little higher, it depends on you. The sensitivity helps a lot for those fights where looking around quicker is key. For example if two players who had the same PvP skill and one of them had a higher sensitivity, then who would win?
If you said the player with a higher sensitivity, you're right. If you didn't, then you're wrong and you should feel wrong.
So how do you put your sensitivity to use?
I am an aggressive PvP player, so I want to charge in on the action if I see it fit. When you are fighting a player, jump a lot, turn quickly and try to ALWAYS STAY BEHIND YOUR OPPONENT! If you get at least 3-5 hits first on your enemy then you are more likely to win. Use the element of surprise to your advantage.
This sword is pretty cool, what else can I use?
Well my fellow reader, there are two other tools that are very useful for PvP. I like to call them Flint & Steel and Bow, because that's like, their names.
How to use Flint & Steel:
If some fool is charging at you, place a wall of hell with your lighter when they get pretty close to you. Chances are they will catch on fire and will not be able to sprint for a bit. Screw 'em up when they're in flames.
How to use a bow:
It ain't hard. Point your reticle at your opponent and fire. You needn't take Physics 101 to understand how an arrow works. If it's a certain distance, it will start to fall. Simple. If your target is moving, fire just several blocks away from the direction they're running in. You may hit them and look like a boss.
How to use a FishingRod:
So a fishing rod may very well be another very useful thing to have in your inventory when you are in some PvP action. Make sure to swing the fishing rod straight at your enemy, this stops them from sprinting and pushes them back a little bit. If you use it properly by swinging your fishing rod, then swinging your sword, it makes a great powerful combination!
Okay, I think I have an idea now!
You better, I spent fifteen minutes writing this blog. I should be doing homework, but then again...
Thanks for reading peeps! If you do have any questions feel free to ask.
Thanks for Front Page!

Pretty great explanation on pvp tactics.
By the way, did I see you on the forums? You seem familiar.
It's one of the bigger KitPVP servers.
