Hello there Planet Minecraft, it's me 48productions back with a story for the "A Life of Steve" contest. I'm sorry about my inactivity, but a bunch of IRL issues popped up to take care of. It took me a while to write this (Probably overly long) story, so I hope you all enjoy it! (There is a TL;DR edition at the bottom if you are like me and don't like walls of text!)

EDIT: To clarify, this is my entry and ONLY entry to the contest. It says "Part 1" in the title because I will probably expand on this story in the future.

Minecraftia. A small, peaceful world at one point. Now it’s been turned into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Steve was sprinting for his life. Running from a horde of skeletons, zombies, spiders, and creepers. In another, peaceful time, they were his best friends. Now he was being chased down by them. Steve ran and ran, until he saw an opening of a small cave. Steve jumped, and slid into the cave. He then quickly turned around and threw heaps of cobblestone towards the entrance of the cave. They ricocheted off of the mobs, and blocked off the entrance.
“That was a close one!”, Steve whispered to himself, striking a torch against the cold, hard stone to light it. He placed the torch on the ground, and sat next to it’s warm glow. Steve was safe for the time being. While he was safe, he decided to think about the past. He reached into his backpack for a picture of the good times he used to have with his friends. And he started to remember it all. Eventually, Steve fell asleep and started dreaming about the good times of Minecraftia.

Back then at that point in time, the happy peaceful time of Minecraftia, there was a popular man named Steve. Steve had an older brother named Bryan, and a younger sister named Alex. In this tranquil time, they were all young adults. They were all quite friendly, and also were friends with all of the mobs. Yes, the zombies, spiders, and all of the other mobs were quite friendly in the world that existed back then. They were all friends, along with all of the other humans of course.

Bryan was a good person, and liked to report any people who were being mean and rude to the moderators. He did such a good job that he was asked to be a moderator. Bryan gladly accepted, and became the newest moderator in Minecraftia.

Fast forward a year, Bryan was promoted to head admin. The world was under his control. As soon as the ceremony of promotion ended, he began improving the world immediately. He set up a mailbox next to his house, so that people could write letters to him about things that could be improved upon in the world. The community loved the idea, and thought it was the best idea that was ever conceived. As for Bryan, it turned out to be an enormous disaster.

Writing responses to thousands of letters each and every day is far from easy. The community soon became weary of Bryan’s new status. He begged the old head admin to return to his position, but Bryan’s new role in the world was here to stay for a long time.

Bryan soon became quite irritated with all of the stress that arose, and soon began to act quite mean. Bryan used his powers for evil, and the community gathered all of the resources they could to fight back. They refused to give up until one fateful day, the community had no resources to fight back with.

Fast forward another year, what used to be a thriving community now lays in ruins. The town hall crumbled, and has eroded to dust. The small, simple houses were turned into mere ash laying on the ground. The shops and all of their goods simply vanished, as thieving monsters stole them to fight others with. How did it all fall so fast? Bryan was a human. The mobs of Minecraftia who had once befriended humans quickly turned into merciless killing machines who eliminated all humans to avoid future conflicts like the one that lay beforehand only a single year back. Some attempts were made by some humans of the Villager race to establish a small community, their attempts were almost always failures due to the hordes of zombies that awoke at night.

The monster’s job was almost done defeating the humans.

The only human left was Steve.

Steve.

Steve soon awoke from his dream to the sound of crumbling cobblestone. The mobs knew he was in the small cave he hid in, and were breaking through the stone barrier quickly made by Steve. There was a hole almost big enough for a zombie to fit through. With danger at hand, Steve ran into the cave, trying to quickly gather resources to attempt to fight the horde, which has grown bigger by the minute to the point where it’s only barrier to eliminating all of the humans in the world was a single, thin, weak cobblestone wall. A wall that would soon break.

TL;DR Edition: Minecraftia was a really peaceful land, filled with peaceful mobs! Imagine that! After a while, Steve's brother got promoted to admin, and started to abuse his powers due to lots of stress. After lots of destruction, there is no thriving civilization anymore, all of the monsters kill all humans, and Steve is the only human left.

Well, that's my story. If you enjoyed, please leave a diamond. If you found a grammatical error, point it out in a comment. If you are feeling really nice, then subscribe.
