I can barely feel my feet. It's freaking cold and I can't even see what lies ahead. I'm just struggling to survive. I need to think, to be able to get out of here alive. What has happened?
It all started 3 days ago. It was just a normal sunny day: I came out of my bed, started the day eating some bread and after that I grabbed my pickaxe and went to my mine.
I continued my search for iron because I wanted to have full iron armor so bad. After some mining I found a cave. The cave led me to an abandoned mine shaft. I started walking through the abandoned mine shaft placing cobblestone on my way so I would find my way back.
Pretty quick I found a chest. Just before I opened it, I noticed there was a sign above it. The sign said:
"This is my offer to my servants, delaying Steve on his trips. May it come to good use."
As I know Minecraft very well, I knew Notch didn't code this. I hesitated for a moment before opening the chest, but then I thought: "perhaps just a feature I missed in an update log". I opened the chest.
The contents of the chest made me really happy: diamonds, emeralds, iron, bones, rotten flesh and really much ender pearls. I took all the stuff and ran back home. It was already night. Before I went mining I hoped to come back home being able to make full iron armor, but now I was able to make full diamond armor. I crafted the diamonds into full diamond armor and I made a diamond sword. After that I went to sleep.
The next day I woke hope, but something had changed: the glass panes of my house had been replaced by iron bars. It made my house look like a prison. I was playing in singleplayer so this shouldn't be possible. I didn't really care as I had enough glass panes in my chest. Maybe this was just an feature of the Halloween update...
After replacing those windows I went outside. Mining was useless for me now as I had all the stuff I needed, so I went killing mobs just to gather some food. After a long search I noticed that there weren't any mobs anymore. When I came back to my house it was already dark. When I came closer I noticed that someone or something had built a grave right next to my house. On the grave there was a sign. It said: "You released your worst nightmare". I felt sick. What was happening to my game?!
I removed the grave and went to bed. I woke up in the night... Something was wrong. Were mobs to close? I went outside: nothing. I went to bed again. This time I did wake up in the morning.
Now I'm talking about yesterday. It was raining outside. Rain made my computer lagg so I decided to stay inside. Suddenly I heard music playing. Well, not music. It was a jukebox playing the song "13", the haunted music disk. I decided to stop playing Minecraft and just delete this world. I hated this world. I was angry. Why would Notch add something like this?!
I pressed the escape button. Nothing happened. I pressed it again. Nothing happened.
What the heck was happening to my game?! I couldn't end the game! Maybe I should just wait till this is all over... so I just went to sleep.
The next day I woke up in the morning. In my house was huge hole. I knew the game wanted me to jump down, and it was my only chance to end this game ever again.
I jumped down and fell in the water. In front of me was a path of mossy cobblestone. Redstone torches were attached to the wall. It seemed to be a maze.
I searched for the right path, but very soon I got lost. Just some later, I found a chamber. All there was in this chamber was a single enderman. I knew enderman wouldn't attack you if you didn't look at them or attack them first, so I just stood there in front of him not knowing what to do. Just some later he started talking:
"Why did you steal the offering of our great lord?"
His voice sounded terrible. I wanted to kill him so bad, but I didn't take anything with me so I knew I'd lose the fight. Once again, the voice of the enderman sounded.
"Your worst nightmare has been released."
I got really terrified this time, so I ran away. I heard the enderman screaming:
"Come back! We're not finished yet!"
WHY? WHY ME? And that's where I am now. It's freaking cold down here. I can barely walk. I don't know what to do. I believe this game is even messing with my brain in real life because I'm really feeling dizzy.
I walked another step. And there he was. Right in front of me. He was like me. But no eyes. An deafening high pitch sounded through my speakers and the game faded black.
I unplugged the power from my computer, and on my next boot I removed Minecraft from my computer. I was never gonna play it again. I know everyone saying Herobrine is not real, but I know what I saw that day. I know the reason I'm not playing this game anymore. Because some day, it might not be just a game anymore...
