Day 1

I’ve finally hit land. It’s been so long since I’ve set foot on dry ground, and oh my God, it feels so good! Of course, it’s going to be a long time until I get the salty brine taste out of my mouth- (you will not believe how many times I’ve accidentally drank saltwater, thinking it was clean!)

That’s not the only good news I have. After going through the boat one last time, I discovered this journal that I forgot I had! I’ve decided to keep it as a “daily diary”, just in case I need to remember anything, y’know?
Crap, the sun is setting- I’m going to go set up camp! I’ll write again tomorrow!

Day 2

Last night was wonderfully calm- I swear, I heard nothing, no monsters, not even anything remotely frightening. Earlier today, I decided to explore a little more, (it's hard to tell how far this land goes!) and see if I can find anything to hunt.

Day 2 (Entry 2)

So far, I have found literally nothing. No pigs or cows, not even the smallest chicken. But hey- maybe I'm just scaring them off with the rumbling of my stomach (ha-ha!).

I'm not worried, though. This happened sometimes back home, usually when Alex and I would hunt everything off. Ususally then, we'd just eat some apples and, as she called it- "be vegetarians".

I suppose I'd better find an apple tree.

Day 3

No monsters again last night! Ha-ha! Take that, creepers! I swear, this new land is AWESOME- I feel so free to do whatever I want! Of course, the fact that there are no animals is kind of worrying, but at the same time, there's always apples for me to eat. I've explored a little more- nothing out of the ordinary for now. I've found a wonderful spot to set up a home (because let's be honest, tents are no fun to sleep in.

Well, that's all I have to say for now!

Day 8

There were no monsters for any of the past few nights, and quite honestly, it's starting to scare me. The thing is, I like routine. Back home, it was basically "get up, hunt and farm, mine (and fight off any monsters), maybe expand a little on the house, and go to sleep. Day after day, the same thing.

I suppose that's why I left. I grew tired of the same daily routine. I guess I didn't realize that there was some comfort there. I took it for granted, and unfortunately, I didn't realize it until now.

But hey- who knows? I've found a cave by my new homestead. Hopefully, with any luck, there'll be something!

Day 8 (Entry 2)

There is nothing...

Day 17

Everything is empty- I don't know what to do. I've looked everywhere and anywhere. Nothing. I've been noticing how quiet it is, my footsteps the only sound for miles around. The silence is deafening, knowing that I am the only person who will ever see this place.

The truth is, I've noticed this for a while- I just was too afraid to say anything. My journal entries are getting less and less frequent because of this, I suppose.

I'm too afraid to admit the truth- the truth that I miss home. I miss the village, the snowman- even Alex. I should've never left, because I had people who would do anything for me.

I was an idiot.

Day 21

I'm pretty sure I can never go back home. Yesterday, I made my way back out to the boat only to discover that it was broken. There was a gaping hole in the bottom of the hull (I'm pretty sure it was scratched on a rock.)

That's why I've decided to leave this journal here, right on the beach, for another explorer (also known as you) to find.

This is your only warning.

Turn back, while you can.

Chances are, I've already ventured off into the unknown- desperately searching for any other sign of any other person. Don't look for me- I've already left.

Goodbye, fellow traveler.
