Bah! Another thing these forums are flooded with. I'm going to RANT!RANT!RANT! on it right now.
First off, if you're dedicated, at all, to a Youtube series, you're going to need to used something called a server, so get one yourself. Don't ask other people to host one for you, because first off, it would be extremely unsafe, the person could easily shut it down and delete your map, then your series is completely over. Next. It would make sense for the recorder to host it, so he/she wouldn't feel like they were being cheated.
When you choose your partners, don't select the first to apply. The last thing we really need is another series with a little 9 year old babbling off the whole video with a map or a server they like, without the actual gameplay being interesting. Also, many times people that apply never respond after applying, so your chosen partner might never actually get to chat you at all.
Recording equipment. If you're going to use a recording software with a big FRAPS.COM or BANDICAM watermark across the top, people aren't going to really watch your videos. Money is needed for a successful Youtube series, just like I have spent over $100 saved dollars on my Snapz Pro X, which is lag free and HD. Also, don't get some crappy software that records in 240p, nobody is going to watch a low quality episode with blurriness all over it.
Rant over! Thank you for reading this rant, and if you want to head over to my Youtube channel, you know where to find it on my profile. :) Leave your comments below.
