It all started a long time before alpha, when two small boys were exploring around the square landscape. (I'm talking of course about Minecraft). They loved to climb mountains and explore caves. The boys were named Steve and Brine. One day, they managed to create a stone pickaxe, and decided to start mining. After many hours in the cave were the pickaxe destroyed, they could not find their way back up to the surface. They had not a single torch and were hungry and helpless. They ran around in the tunnels of the cave, and shouted for help, but they were the only beings that existed. Finally, they saw light coming from deeper into the caves, and walked cautiously towards it. There were small lava pools, and at the end of the cubic world, a black hole of nothingness. However, the ceiling above the lava gleamed and glistened slightly in the dark. There was a diamond vein. Brine was desperate to get back to the surface, because he thought nothing more than how delightful it would be with a little mushroom stew. But when they found the surface, Steve was a wimp as well. He told Steve to try to jump and land in on a ledge under the ceiling and try to mine loose the diamond. But Steve refused and Brine claimed that he was a hero, so Steve had to do it, but he still would not. Brine was so desperate that he pushed Steve off the edge, and managed to cautiously climb up the deep hole that led to the lava. Brine interrupted that he had to take the diamond, but Steve still refused. Suddenly, a white light appeared behind Brine. When Steve said that he had to look behind him, Brine thought that Steve was trying to trick him, so that he could climb up without helping to mine the diamond. Suddenly everything went dark and the lava disappeared. All that they could see were two white eyes that glowed in the darkness behind Brine.Iit was very dark and his eyes came even closer to Brine, and made the whole cave glow. Brine, Steve's twin, had completely white eyes and hovered about a block above the ground with his arms folded. White particles floated around him. A whispering, yet shrieking cry for help rang through the cave, it bounced from wall to wall, and the echo reached and hung over the newly-generated world. Steve tried to climb up and see what had happened to Brine. When he had come half way up, he saw that Brine suffered a strange cramp. He began to disappear in strange white smoke. Steve shouted as loud as he could, but Brine was gone forever. Steve burst into tears and fell back down into the black hole. The whole world collapsed but some pixels managed to survive, as well as Steve .. And a new creature called Herobrine! When a new world was created, Steve had forgotten all about what had happened, and began a new life. Many updates passed, but there were always some particles that remained.. Until one day they formed together, and came out in the dark of night. Two white eyes glowed in the darkness. The creature disappeared under the earth and was never seen again.. until beta 1.4, when several users reported sightings of the threatening and silent creature. All the observations were in mines. The story was the same; all the torches disappeared, and a creature with white eyes went crazy on the user. With the last of their strength, the survivors managed to reach the surface, only to find their houses had been set on fire. After this time, the now infamous Herobrine was never seen again. Maybe he lives on, in his particle form. I would rather not know...
