Basically, Steve gets blown into a hole by an explosion, he doesn't know where he is, and rips something out of him that he lands on. He touches it and it sends him to the world Minecraft that we know of today. The only information about him that is shown in this story that is about his previous life, is that he mines for a living, and there are other miners with him. There was also an "incident" that happened and it must relate to nature. Something bad.

The explosion was the last thing Steve heard before he was thrown off the cliff in the cave. He had been mining for jewels and he heard an explosion behind him. A loud ringing plagued his ears for quite some time, but eventually it faded. He heard his name, it was low at first, then loud. Steve opened his eyes, and felt like he was suffocating. Sulfur had filled his nose and lungs and he harshly coughed for a few seconds. He looked up and saw a bright light. It faded and he realized it was the far away glow of the torches. A darkened figure was up there, shouting his name. “Steve! Oh thank god you are alive! J-Just hold on! I'll grab some guys and we'll get you up here in no time!” Steve blinked. Unaware where he was. He felt a small stream of water running through him. It was cold, and he shivered. Steve sat up and grabbed his leg in a quick motion. He knew something was wrong. He flung his backpack onto his chest and started rummaging blindly through it. He finally found the torch and took some flint out. Feeling around, he rolled out of the small stream and felt stone. He scraped the flint onto the rocks and the sparks grew to life onto the torch. Color exploded onto the walls and surrounding areas of the cave. He could see a hole in the wall that the small stream was gushing out of. Remembering the urgency, he looked at his body and noticed that he was bleeding from his leg. He must have fallen on some sharp object. He held his breath, and forcefully ripped the object from his leg. He yelled and threw the object away from him and held his leg in agony. The object skittered across the stone making a raspy sound. He held it for a few minutes and crawled to the steam, he lowered his leg into the water and felt the pain subside.

After a while of sitting there, he looked up again. He hadn't heard from his friend in a while. There was no way up by climbing, and he didn't have any rope. His gut began to feel tingly. What if they don't show up? He took some bandages from his pack and wrapped them around his injury. A glimmer in his eye had him look in the direction that he threw the object. A ping of curiosity fell on him and he crawled towards it. The torches light didn't reach out that far and only a tiny bit of color was seen. He picked it up, andit was covered in blood. Wiping it off, he discovered it was a strange object. It had a silver base with white outline. It was, like a star? But what would something like this be doing stuck down here? There had been reports of some dig sites around here, but they were miles away. Steve scooted back into a better lit area and squinted at it. It seemed to have a golden sphere in the middle of it. He bet himself if he got out of here, he could probably hang this up over his fireplace. He snapped out of his daydreaming and kept looking at it. It seemed to beckon him to touch the sphere. He had heard of ancient weapons and pots people touched that the spirits of the former people who owned it would follow them to their house. That wouldn't be fun, he thought. But it was tempting him more and more to touch it. He thought, fine. He tapped the center, and it slightly glowed. It began to get brighter and brighter until it was blindingly bright. It started to shake. He attempted to throw it, but it wouldn't budge. Lightening spewed out and hugged the walls. Steve screamed and it exploded in a flash of light. All Steve saw afterward was whiteness for as long as he remembered. Was he dead?

He didn't feel dead. For what felt as an eternity later, he began to see color. He didn't seem to be in that dreaded cave anymore. What he felt under him was soft, and he blinked a few times. Above him were white clouds, blue sky, and a stunning yellow sun. Where was he? He hadn't seen a bright day like this in, years! Not after the, incident that happened. He felt very nauseous like he had been on a boat for 4 years. Suddenly, a large pink object leaned over his face. The thing licked him and snorted. He suddenly sat up and it looked at him with it's head cocked to the right. A...Pig? Last he heard, these were extinct. It oiked and trotted off, munching on some grass. He was in, a, forest? But how? This can't be from where he was from. He ripped up some grass and held it. So green and alive. It blew off of his hand in the gentle breeze. The star! That's what brought him here! B-but where was it? He searched along the ground. It, was, gone! He looked down at his leg, it was fully healed! H-how could this be! He stood up, and looked around. There were no buildings, or any human life! No roads, nothing! This was definitely not where he had came from. His stomach grumbled, he grasped for his pack, but it was gone. Something wasn't right, and he was going to find out what kind of sick game this is. But first, looking at the sky, he should probably find shelter and get something to eat. He stared at the setting sun in front of him. Looking back, he noticed the pig was still there. At least I have this pig to talk to! “Come on pig, lets find us a place to stay for the night! The pig oiked, and didn't move. “Oh come on.” He plucked some seeds from the ground and waved them in front of it's face. “Follow me, and you can have this!” The pig's eyes open wildly, and followed the seeds. Finally, he went up to Steve. “Come on, um...Steve number two! Let's find somewhere to sleep!
